MISTER X would be a future investment, not someone who’s already a top player.
Cesc Fabregas, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Marek Hamsik are only some of the names that have been linked with Milan as the Mister X saga continues, and Adriano Galliani now sheds new light on the saga.
The Milan Vice President says that Mister X is more of someone for the future, as they can’t afford big stars.
“Mr. X is not be a player who is already at the top, let’s see what happens,” Chief Executive Galliani said according to tuttomercatoweb.com. “We have a very competitive team, we can start the season well.
“When I read of certain names linked with us, I say that it is impossible. We do not have the same power as English and Spanish clubs. I predicted that we [Serie A, Italy] would fall behind Germany [Bundesliga] and we did. Milan collect €73 million from television rights, Barcelona make €153 million: this is the problem.“
Italian clubs, not only Milan, cannot bring the big names also because of tax issues.
