THE FANS are protesting the decision of the FIGC to play the final outside of Italy.
The Supercoppa Italiana takes place in few weeks when Scudetto Champions AC Milan and Coppa Italia holders Inter Milan face each other. However, there ultra-fans of the teams won’t be present at the stadium.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Curva of Milan and Inter have agreed not to travel for the Super Cup game, which will be played in Beijing, China, as a protest against the FIGC Federcalcio.
Milan to be an independent company?
Pastore’s agent denies Milan meetings
The fans and even the players were hopeful that the game will take part at the San Siro, but following the high cost of the trip all the way to the Far East, the fans will not be going to see their heroes in action.
The game is on August 6, 2pm Italian time (8pm local time).

why did they schedule it to be at china anyways? wont be much of spectacle as san siro..
Italian F.A need 2look in 2 dis seriously, co’s its quit dissappointing final without ultras. What a disgrace. Which it was created initially for the Italians.
Think they want to embrace the Asian fans. That’s why every month a Serie club would play at noon instead of a later game start.
wouldnt you think they would make more money in a full stadium rather than a quarter full in asia? if income is their proiriety then i think a san siro derby would be much better
Listen, there are about 91.000 seats at the olympic stadium in Beijing. From what I’ve heard, all the tickets are gone. The stadium will be filled up – and I’m one of those 91.000 spectators.
because ppl in asia will buy a shit ton of jerseys and generate a higher market share. its business 101. though it would be nice if it was in san siro
Agree with Pasha! and lately Serie-A has losing its fans to EPL and La Liga, the impact? less bonus for Serie A teams in term of TV revenue, and like Pasha said, it will help us to get more money from the jersey and its much much higher than the money they got from the stadium ticket even if San Siro is full house (and san siro is not ours)
but then again, people who switch leagues just because they aren’t popular anymore, aren’t real fans.
guys, the fans don’t won’t to go at china, the fans can’t go !
but, Milan has more fans than Inter, and China loves Milan
Who cares??? Ultras should go to hell, then they can watch the Super Cup on big screen with demons.
Oh yes, all those comments can get deleted… but one like this insulting Italian fans does not. More stupidity from “Pato is Brilliant”. I wonder where this kid is from?
i dont understand
Wtf??do u knw wat china is??asin china??1.6bilion popn..dey r jus tryn 2 captre d mrkt!!d ultras cn wtch frm dir fada’s houses!!
The giussepe meazza…..milan AND inter…does anyone else need more of an explanation?! Those fans are lunatics! San siro with the derby del madonnina is the greatest thing in footballll!!!! FORZA! Use the flares screw the FIGC this is the reason travelling teams fear us
the super cup in china?simple to fathom, italian football is loosin evrytin.the great defenders, world best players, and now the glamour.so bad.it wud av been a spetacle at sansiro with both teams having scores to settle.
Milan will literally not gain much revenue other than tickets which will be split between Inter and Milan. All the Japanese fans will come just for Nagatomo, Milan will not be able to sell much merchandise.
Those who are against the decision of Super Cup being held in China are just imbasels. You guys dont know the fact that Chinese people are also Milanfans, they buy tv rights, jerseys and many other stuff which helps in generating funds for the club. In far-east countries like China and Japan, Milan is known as a great civilised club, significantly due to great legends we had specially our best captain Paolo Maldini. Does World Club Championship final Milan vs Boca 2007 rings a bell? When entire Japanese fans were chanting Maldini’s name and were supporting Milan. This type of… Read more »
More non-brilliant nonsense. For one, people have a right to be against this decision. This goes up against the decades of tradition in Italy. There is more money to be made by having it in Italy. The Chinese are not big fans of the sport. Japan is more developed football-wise then the Chinese. We don’t need to do this. Why is this fixture necessary to be held outside Italy? Even Italian teams are protesting this. Milan and Inter didn’t want this fixture to be held in China. They lodged a complaint with the FIGC. Don’t like it? Well that’s the… Read more »
giancarlo you really do piss me off. do us all a favor and think before you type.
Piss you off for speaking the truth? Why don’t you think before you type so you don’t say stupid sh*t like that?
try spelling imbeciles 1st before calling it to others.. dumbass.. btw CHINA DONT LIKE SOCCER! well most of them anyways.. everybody knows chinese people like basketball more.. probably because they’re more talented at that sport rather than football.. which is why it should have been held at san siro.. besides i could easily watch it since i live at hungary.. (very near italy :D)
Milan have a massive, I mean…ENORMOUS fanbase in Japan. More than Inter have!
