MILAN have two, well three, first team center-backs for the pre-season.
On July 12, the Italian champions AC Milan will get back to action again after some weeks of rest, but Massimiliano Allegri’s side will be fairly short with first-team center-backs as only two of them are available.
To be exact, three are available if you count the American Oguchi Onyewu, who returned from Twente after an unsuccessful loan spell with the Dutch side and it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.

Alessandro Nesta and Daniele Bonera are the only two central defenders Allegri will be at his disposal that were part of the 2010/2011 Scudetto-winning side, which consisted of six Cb’s including them.

Milan can count on Silva and Yepes for the Supercoppa Italiana against Inter, but not on Philippe Mexes, the new signing who is suffering from a serious knee injury and will be gone at least until September.
True. Perhaps Rafael Toloi would be a good acquirement (he does have an Italian passport I believe). But not sure. We’ll see if management decides to do anything in this regard. We could always take Albertazzi for pre-season games if necessary.

I don’t think we should invest so much emotionally into some friendly games. We didn’t win much over the last summer… but ended up winning the league.

I would love it if we get Rafael Toloi. For about 6-10mill(LOL kind of over-priced but thats what his team are gonna want. Just tying to be realistic.) but I think we should loan him out to an Italian team, so he can adapt to serieA. FORZA MILAN. I think it’s time to start a new era.
