GIOVANNI STROPPA has revealed that he didn’t leave – the club just fired him.
Stroppa is no longer part of Milan and it was suggested that he had decided to leave his post as the Primavera coach. However, the former Rossoneri player now reveals that he did not left, he was fired.
This is a bit surprising as Stroppa was successful in his time, winning the TIM Cup last year and had a real chance to clinch the Scudetto this term, but a defeat to Roma ended his hopes to be Primavera Champion.
Cagliari: “We want to buy out Astori”
Official: Stroppa leaves post as Primavera coach
“I wasn’t the one to leave this job, but the club dropped me without warning and they didn’t give me a reason, what has been written is completely untrue,” Stroppa told the microphones of Milannews.it on Saturday.
“I never had any sensation that things could go this way, as I am certain I did a good job, gave the side a precise identity and improved their performances from the previous campaign.
“Don’t ask me why I was treated this way, because I haven’t a clue. You’d need to ask the club.”
Aldo Dolcetti could be the new manager of the Primavera.
milan always want the best result, mr stroppa. it is the club tradition. we all know it.
Wow this is sad, Stroppa you served us well, try ur chance at a bigger team, perhaps a Serie B team and take some youth with you (on loan that is)….
Italian Ray Wilkins…
maybe this is like a gourcuff case, we may never know until someone from the heart of milan explains it…
maldini said gourcuff didnt take the opportunity so sucked in yoann…
what did stroppa do to get this?
we shall see soon
Lies!! Milan wouldnt fire without any reason!! We rnt stupid EPL/La Liga clubs
Its usual Stroppa. Just like the way Leo was fired. This is becoming a new Milan tradition. Which is not definitely good.
Oh please you don’t even know what you’re talking about. This is nothing like the Wilkins case either. And as far as Leo… he was fired because of major disagreements. That was well known. We will find out why he was fired soon enough.
I kinda liked his work though. Tanx 4 serving milan-as a player and coach. All de best man. Just hope we find a worthy replacement(maybe one of our legends-Maldini,Baresi etc).
He did well last year too…
I’ll wait for the reason.
Hmmmm. This is surprising. I don’t think its because the primavera lost to Roma, it must be something else. Maybe a fallout.
If this’s true, milan just did a wrong decision… Sum1 must explain this… And I hope stroppa was wrong…
