DIGAO is no longer part of Milan.
He joined Milan in the age of 19 in 2005 but was never considered good enough to play for the Rossoneri. Now, he has decided to rescind his Milan deal, the Turin-based media source Tuttosport reports on Saturday.
Digao, who is the younger brother of Kaka, spent the last season on loan at F.C. Penafiel, in the Liga de Honra (known also as Liga Orangina), which is the Portuguese second level football league.
Bozzo: “Cassano is not for sale”
Stroppa: “Milan fired me!”
The center-back leaves Milan by mutual consent and he wants to play in Brazil next term.
The tall Brazilian (1.94) was loaned to Rimini, Standard Liège, Lecce, Crotone and Penafiel. He’s a non-EU player so his departure apparently frees a slot for Milan – this is unconfirmed though.

YA BABY YAAAAAH!!!! GANSO OR LAMELA TO MILAN :DD:DD
bye???
We still had him?
He should have never been signed. Total waste of space. Kaka is brilliant but his brother suck big time!
I’m not sure if this opens up a EU slot, but if it does then thats great. Because Milan can now buy Ganso or someone.
I wonder if people likes this news more because we get another eu-spot or that we finally got rid of digao.. Lol
woo ganso welcome to milan. Dat is da true milan. AC MILAN Buddy. Yer cuzo cl here we come lol
i trully don’t know about digao. if he doesn’t meet milan quality, why should milan keep him?
He scored an amazing goal, back heel 25 yards out. But this is his only goal as he is only a DM. And we keep players because we make a lot of money out of loans
uh….i didnt even know he was in our team…well anyways bye and wish u luck!!
bye..
These are all the players AC Milan wasted money on: Digao Leandro Grimi Didac Vila Felipe Mattioni Philippe Senderos Oguchi Onyewu Dominic Adiyiah Bruno Montelongo Bonera-(even though he has been at Milan the longest!still a waste of money) All defenders except for Adiyiah and NOT one of them are good enough for the first team. This is the problem I have with Milan transfers. If we keep spend money on useless talent we will always keep players like Seedorf, Gattuso, Oddo, Ambrosini, Pirlo-even though he left) and Zambrotta pass their prime. These players I listed were completely TERRIBLE investment! I… Read more »
First off many of those signings have cost almost nothing. Secondly, Mattioni wasn’t signed by Milan… that was a loan. Another point, Senderos wasn’t signed either.. that was a loan. Onyewu was signed on a free transfer… big loss. Why don’t we go through the list of talents that have been highly successful? My problem with your post is you are too one sided, and you don’t know what you’re saying. Luciano Moggi? Hell no. Galliani is way better than him. May I remind you Moggi had his fair share of failed transfers… some being far more costly then anything… Read more »
Another great transfer of his was Van Bommel and Yepes…? that’s all? you forgot to mention Cassano :-)
The problem I have you is that you talk to much. You expect everyone to respect you views but you dont respect others. Wether it is a loan or free transfer they were still signed by Milan as Milan were still paying there salaries. So what is your point? Moggi is the best transfer guru. Moggi signed: Diego Maradonna(when Moggi was at Napoli) Buffon Roberto Baggio Deschamps Trezeguet Zidane Ibra All winners and champions with Napoli and Juventus respectively. As much as am I a fan of Mr Galliani he does not have a better success ratio than Moggi. I… Read more »
Duh..cheers lads, we are a big happy family! why don’t we spill our hatred towards merda fans…that would be much nicer!
are you insane? i could go on for years aboout galliani’s brilliant signings…. didac vila a waste? 21 and came from la liga… you think he is gonna adapt soo quickly, lets not forget Ignazio Abate broke into milans squad at 23 galliani has signed ibra, robinnho pato, kaka, thiago silva, prince, pirlo, seedorf, gatusso, stam, sheva. dont make me go deepa into milan history… moggi the best? my ass. so he signed buffon, we signed dida, he signed trezeguet, we signed sheva, also, milan signed baggio and ibra as well. maradona? we got kaka then there is the dutch… Read more »
Absolutely. You can’t deal with a lost cause like Nick. Some may say Leo found the players in Brazil and such, whatever. Moggi had his scouts too. But Galliani is ultimately the one that rubber stamps the transfers and approves of them. Yes, we’ve had some bad transfers, but so has every other team. Must I talk about Man City, Chelsea, Real Madrid or Barcelona. Let me just take a real famous one. Barcelona. Chygrynsky. Come on now. They bought the promising player for 25 million. They kept him for one season. They sold him back to the same team… Read more »
I wont waste my time arguing with any of you as those players both you AND giancarlo mention were scouted by Braida and Leonardo NOT Galliani. Kaka, Pato, Silva and that idiot Dida-if you think he was a good signing were all scouted by Leonardo NOT Galliani. As for Schevchenko, Rui Costa, Jon Dahl Tomasson, Ronaldinho, Gullit, Van Basten, Rijkaard, Desaily, Papin were all scouted by Braida. Arieda Braida has been AC Milan GENRAL MAANGER/SPORTS DIRECTOR since 1986 Mr Galliani is AC Milan Vice President. Braida finds the players NOT Galliani. Luciano Moggi former role was also General Manager/Sporting Director… Read more »
Moggi had scouts of his own. He wasn’t out there getting these players himself. He was simply the guy rubber stamping what his scouts found. Stop being a moron. And Dida gave us many good years. He had a few bad seasons… but overall, he was a great keeper for Milan. You can make stupid claims that they were scouted by Braida, but the same applies for Moggi. Moggi wasn’t scouting out the players he found. Moggi wasn’t the one looking for players. He merely rubber stamped what his scouts found. Moggi was Galliani is the Vice President of AC… Read more »
dude please.. dont insult dida.. he was my fave keeper! hes even my childhood hero of goalkeepers.. he is the best when in-form.. sad that blunders clouded his brilliant saves.. :
Haha. Emerson was horrible. It wasn’t even Galliani’s fault for the transfer either. Ancelotti just wanted him and wanted him. Gilardino was good for the first season, actually, he was quite good in his first season…then the rest you know the story. Too bad he never kept his form though.
Cristian Brocchi was one more of those signings. People can go on and on about Bonera and Antonini… but Brocchi got more appearances then either of them… and I don’t understand why he did. He was really a bad midfielder… headless chicken who ran and ran. He’s doing well for Lazio oddly enough. I had to put up seeing that man for six seasons… really one of our worst transfers in 2001. Regardless, Milan still made numerous other great signings… during that period. Nesta, Inzaghi and Gattuso (1999)… were some… better was expected from Brocchi. He did come to us… Read more »
You’re the dumbass here giancarlo or should I say DIVA since you feel the need to always have something to say about EVERYONE’s comment! Keep trying to twist my words cause clearly you cant read. Secondly idiot, No one is bashing Galliani. Its clear you’re the moron here as you always try to twist everyone’s comment to state your point because of your lack of knoweldge and understanding. Cheers to you clown! Since you are the DIVA of this site and you feel the need to keep going. Then go right ahead with B@#$ A@# arguments. Like I said I… Read more »
Someone should smack you right in the head. Maybe your brain isn’t working right. I don’t think you heard what I said. Don’t comment anymore because you’re proving to be a complete idiot who doesn’t know what’s going on at Milan. I twisted your words? Moron. You are bashing Galliani, and you want Moggi. Moggi is nothing more than a criminal who had his fair share of market failures. Some huge market failures people tend to sweep under the rug. You don’t even know what you’re talking about. Go talk about golf or some sport that’s probably more at your… Read more »
the deal when Milan signed Kaka was to sign with his younger brother as well, they goes in pack together
Nick-trust me didac was not a waste of money
he will 100% milan quality after next season
I guess we will see. So far for me he is a failure since we had to loan him especially knowing we are short at left back. Only Taiwo is worthy as Antonini is a liability.
Good raddiance to bad rubbish[digao]
You are telling me to get lost? What do you expect when you post stupid stuff on a public website. People are going to dispute what you say Nick. GET REAL and grow up please. Galliani has a far superior ratio so please open your Eyes! MOGGI HAS NOTHING ON GALLIANI. Do you know how long Galliani has been working at Milan? Guess not. You do know that Moggi had some high profile errors. By the way some signings by Galliani: Kaka, Thiago Silva, Pato, Shevchenko, Nesta, Stam, MVB, Guillit, Rui Costa… Shall I go on? OR ARE YOU GOING… Read more »
I have a question ?
is he the son who call his big brother , Kaka?
yep.
Digao should have been a good little boy and attend a prestigious university that his rich family can obtain for him. He can’t even make it in Brazil.
Sorry nick but Galliani can’t be compared to Moggi. Moggi is a good transfer guru but Galliani is also magnificent (better for me, though). As a Milan fan every one knows how much Galliani has given Milan. True that he did some mistake signings but every one did so including Moggi. While Moggi’s career is in doubt especially post calciopoli, Galliani continues to give Milan quality players: Ibra (best buy of the season compared with how much Barca spend for him), Robinho, Boateng, Cassano, and never forget SILVA (as a world class defender is so rare right now). Though I… Read more »
