STANDARD LIEGE admit many want Axel Witsel but are unsure of his price.
The Rossoneri have admitted that negotiations with Standard Liege for Axel Witsel (22) are on-going, but Vice President Luciano D’Onofrio reveals that Milan are not the only side interested in the midfielder.
“Currently I think it’s the best player in Belgium, he has matured and is very versatile. He plays on the left and on the right, but I think his ideal location is the central of the midfield,” D’Onofrio said.

“Milan? On Friday I saw the match [Belgium vs. Turkey] with [AC Milan Sporting Director Ariedo] Braida, but he told me that he had come to see several players… certainly including Axel.
“What is the value? I do not know, it depends … Let’s say about 12, 15, 18, 20 million €. If he will stay again next year at Standard Liege? There has many requests; it will not be easy for Liege to keep him.”
It is believed that Milan are ready to include Oguchi Onyewu in the deal for Witsel.
