Two Milan players skip Bologna game with suspension

30

AC MILAN have two players suspended for the next game.

Milan host Bologna next week in a match that could win them the Scudetto, if Inter don’t win, but the Rossoneri will have to deal without two very important players, who are suspended for this game.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is out and it will be the last game he’s banned from as he’s already served two games out, against Sampdoria and Brescia, after he swore the linesman in the game against Fiorentina.

Highlights: Brescia 0-1 AC Milan
Emanuelson: “The title is closer now”

The second player is Mark van Bommel. The Dutchman proved to be essential since his arrival but he picked-up a yellow card in yesterday’s 0-1 victory over Brescia and he misses the next game.

Following the absences of the two players and the injuries, Massimiliano Allegri will line-up Massimo Ambrosini or Andrea Pirlo instead of Mark, and Robinho & Antonio Cassano will be in attack.

Well, at least Ambrosini is back, he and Pirlo can be more than plenty against Bologna, so hopefully we won’t feel MVB’s absence too much!

We need better attacking though, not every team has a moron like Jonathan Zebina who fills offside traps like a bloody imbecile!

kbw

without them we still win anyway

forza milan!!

Pirlo is an outsider looking Allegris system. Ambrosini, Boateng, Seedorf and Gattuso/Flamini will be enough option for that match. And if they don’t, we have Emanuelson/Strasser/Merkel too. OK, Pirlo is a great player, and we can play with him, but it causes difficulties in the game how the team play nowadays.
Start this: Abbiati-Abate, Nesta, T. Silva, Zambrotta- Ambrosini/Flamini, Gattuso, Seedorf- Boateng- Robinho, Cassano.
If Nesta and Silva recovers.

Giancarlo

That formation is spot on. I think Inzaghi should be there too though. So Pippo can come on for Cassano. There is also a chance Pato may recover too.

There is no reason to drop Seedorf. Not now. People want Emanuelson to start over him, but he had another great game.

Abrosini will fill in greatly without a doubt. I wanted to see Beretta last night in the dying minutes though, and so I would like to see the following line-up against Bologna. __________________________ABBIATI________________________ __ABATE___________YEPES________SILVA___________ZAMBRO__ _________BOATENG________ABRO__________SEEDORF________ _________________CASSANO______ROBINHO_________________ _________________________BERETTA_______________________ I mean what’s the worst that could happen? Beretta has great eye for goal and the creativeness of Robinho and Cassano can support that. If he really disappoints in the first half, he can be subbed off for Urby and Boateng returns behind Rob and Cass, but I doubt he will perform badly, even though he’s inexperienced. He scored a great goal during… Read more »

*Ambrosini

Red&Black-indo

one DMF is too dangerous. beside that, Ambrosini isn’t young anymore. he can’t work as the only anchorman or defensive midfielder. I think Boateng should be replaced with Flamini and play him as box-to-box midfielder. the rest fprmation is okay.

rossonero23

Urby should start, what else does he have to do?

Prashanth

Berretta should play with Rob and Cassano supporting him .. Boateng in midfield with Ambrosini and Seedorf !! Did i drop Pirlo ?? yes .. it would have been a shocker at the start of the season but Allegri’s system has no place for Pirlo who has still the best vision and passing but is not as robust as MVB .. May be we are seeing the last days of Pirlo in Milan .. !! What a player !! Forza Pirlo !! I dont mind him moving to Turin coz i respect him for watever he has given to Milan… Read more »

Giancarlo

I don’t think Ambrosini is going to start this game, guys. It’s just my opinion. I think Gattuso, Flamini (put aside your feelings please), and Seedorf will, with Boateng behind two strikers. I think Emanuelson should play as some have called for.

As far as Pirlo, I would like to see him play… but some bring up a great point… can he fit in? As far as him joining Juventus that would be sad… that team has a very poor mentality… they’ll never win anything.

GanstaUnit99xx

@Giancarlo, i hope you and “Shervin” don’t start a fight again!

Okay on that article, nooooooo!!!!! milan will miss bommel! lets see what Allegri will do now??? but i hope Allegri plays Urby cos he deserves it!

Pete

It’s a start for Giancarlo to drop the Flamini obsession haha

He did his job this season, however, I would prefer to transfer him elsewhere (send him in the deal for M’via).

Our midfield will probably be Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf, Boateng.
Don’t like that, and in my ideal situation we’re using
Ambrosini, Pirlo, Emmanualson, Boateng.

We don’t need to clog up the midfield against Bologna, they’re mid table and don’t have much to play for, so let’s get some extra creativity in the midfield early.

Giancarlo

What obsession? I merely name him in some of my line-ups, say he’s a good player… I think he should take a bit of a salary reduction, but I don’t think we should sell him.

Pirlo isn’t going to play the next game. I’m not sure quite how he fits into Allegri’s system. I think Gattuso, Flamini and Seedorf will start in midfield next game.

Pete

I agree Pirlo doesn’t fit into the system…unless you remove Seedorf.

I feel he can do a very similar job with similar results. That being said, (never thought I’d say this one) I prefer Seedorf in the midfield right now (although I prefer neither since they both can’t defend).

Giancarlo

I prefer Seedorf at this point because he is a better all around player. He tracks back, defends better… and isn’t reliant on long balls. Plus his form as of late has been stellar.

Einars

He came from Inter, im sure you hated him as much as any Interista at that time. Think before you write

rossonero23

Starting Seedorf two games in a row is a mistake. Allegri will now field Willy Wonka for a FOURTH consecutive time…the man is old, and needs to recharge his battery’s.

Giancarlo

Seedorf has played the last four games (except for Palermo) quite well actually. Don’t insult Seedorf.

rossonero23

Not insulting anyone, just being honest. Stop making false accusations.

leonel

pirlo doesnt fit in? this team need creativity, he can play the same possition that seedrof plays, i dont know what r u talking about he is our greatest midfilde, the one with more vision and best passing ability but he is recovering from a huge injury, he just need time stop saying he doesnt fit in the team because he is escencial

Milanista

Yes, but Seedorf has been stellar of late. Its almost suicide to drop a stellar seedorf for a Pirlo who is recovering and hasn’t even played a game yet.

budi

is Gattuso still injured? Flamini could not play DM role, he is more like central midfield who sometimes looks really enthusiastic when it comes to running forward and most of the times, he leaves a big hole in the midfield. Boateng has better intuition on tracking back and help defense. Surely if we put Urby-Flamini- Boateng- Seedorf then Allegri should think about making one of them to involved more on defensive situation.
We still very much prone when it comes to deal with counter attacks.

Lateef abiola

I think we should start ambrossini seedorf boateng in midfield

rossonero23

gattuso–ambro–pirlo–

——-seedorf—–

allegri said he will use this formation in his recent press conference, which JUST ended.

lmao

Giancarlo

I think you’re making that up. I’m checking all over Milannews and ACMilan.com and I’m not finding where he said that. He’s not going to drop Boateng.

Gattuso-Ambro/Flam-Seedorf
Boateng

That’s the formation that he’ll likely play. Pirlo isn’t going to start.

LMAO.

rossonero23

Sarcasm….

scostomato

I have to write this because with every line I read here my heart breaks more and more. How as die hard Milanisti can anyone dismiss a legend like Pirlo so easily. Have you forgotten all that he has done in that uniform. The discussions about Pirlo that I read all the time here talk about him as if he is 40 years old and literally on his last leg. Does everyone forget that just 5 short months ago we had no idea about the name Van Bommel. Does everyone forget that just months ago Pirlo scored the goal of… Read more »

leonel

@scostomato is right! pirlo is the most important part of our team! and i hate that many of you think that becouse he is enjured he doesnt fit in!

and many will say im incorrect but pirlo is more important that boateng, he is just fast but lacks the vision, what i mean is that you can displace a legend cause of nothing and even less for a player that is not even ours or a seedorf that is planing to leave

rossonero23

Good point. Pirlo deserves a new 3 year deal. Clarence is in good form too, he needs a new two year deal. Gattuso’s the captain, he’s had a decent campaign, I think he needs a new 5 year deal.
