ALESSANDRO NESTA is believed to be upset with AC Milan’s latest offer for renewal.
Milan risk losing Nesta at the end of the season as according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the veteran center-back is upset with the club, as they are set to offer more money to Philippe Mexes than to him.
It is reported that Milan will give Mexes a contract worth €4.5 million per-year, while Nesta, who has played an integral part at Milan since his arrival in 2001, has been offered €2.5m annually.

“Now then Alessandro, are you going to renew for €2.5m?” Galliani jokingly said according to reports. But, Nesta didn’t find it funny: “Why €4.5m for Mexes and €2.5 for me??” Nesta reportedly told his friends.
If Milan and Nesta don’t reach a deal, the Italian could retire from football.

Galliani should never break the wage structure balance for Mexes. I think after Mexes coming, Boateng and other new signed players will ask for more.
I dont understand the hype over Mexes. He’s not that great in my opinion! I would rather pay Astori that kind of money as Astori is also younger. What a waste of money for Mexes. Nesta is getting old and he is injury prone, so I think that is fair amount to offer Nesta!

I am going to put aside Mexes, personally I don’t like Him, but this is about the Veteran players and who have given so much to AC Milan and I am very Greatfull to all of them, but Nesta, Pirlo, Ambrosini, Gatusso have to realize that They are not In their prime any more or far from it, of those mentioned 3 of them have extreme Injury Issues and you can’t really depend on them all season, I mean how much time has pirlo and Ambrossini been out? I don`t understand you guys! Mexes is younger and he can have like 3-4 good years left while Nesta is 35 and not getting better. It is not about the past and what he done `cause he got his money for that it is about what he can offer for Milan. And he is about to retire soon. These palyers need to realize that they won`t get better. It is true for Pirlo, Ambrosini,Seedorf,Gattuso,Zambrotta, Janku, Oddo, Pippo and Nesta.

Nesta is old, 2,5 for a 35 year-old is a good salary, even if he is one of the best in the squad. We all know, how injurable he is.
