BAD NEWS for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Milan as the player has received a three-match ban.
Serie A’s disciplinary commissioner has gathered on Monday evening, and has decided to punish Ibra for his actions on Sunday, against Bari.
Ibrahimovic picked up a yellow in the game for handball and then a direct red card, after he slapped/punched Bari center back Marco Rossi.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic risks derby ban
Allegri: ‘Everyone expected to win’
This three-match ban is all bad news for Milan. Their next three Serie A games are against Palermo, Inter Milan and Fiorentina. He will come back only on 17 of April, Milan v Sampdoria.
Milan have confirmed that they will appeal on this desicion. “Milan communicates they will appeal the decision from the sports judge inflicted on Ibra.” The club will try to reduce the ban to two games.
If you’re trying to look at things from a positive point of view, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 29-year-old, finally gets the rest he was trying to reach in recent weeks.

That’s what happend when milan depends on Ibra, the rest of games are the most important ones, actually, i was happy when ho got red card, the team played better , now it’s Pato time to show us what he made of..
if lose or draw the game with Inter we wouldn’t take the scudetto we have dificult program
Wow This is a very long rest for IBRA, he might forget playing football, as it is he has forgot scoring.
Good for PATO ,he should show his true colors now.
Allegri has to come up with new strategy, he was so used to having Ibra as his everything, What next Allegri.
Damn, I know I wanted Ibra to get a rest, but I meant by being on the bench or missing a game or two. Maybe just a 10-15 minute cameo per game. Three games is insane, especially missing the derby. I hope we’ll get the Pato, Binho and Cassano trio to work effectively for those games.
well that sucks.. boateng cassano robinho and pato should make our offence more dynamic.. too bad he will miss some important games though.. hopefully we will still be ahead of inter once he is back and rested physically and mentally
Why did Alegri have to play Ibra against bari? We need him 4 inter.
@Student
Agreed. Lets see if he can adapt well without him. This just might be our make or break moment.
It’s unfortunate that he lost it and did such a thing to finally get that rest he’s been after, but I’m not worried.
It’s gonna be fun to watch Cassano, Pato & Robinho keep the ball rolling.
Here’s ur rest prima donna now keep ur mouth closed till the end of season. Good news if u ask me now we’ll see if Allegri is the real deal and time for Pato to shine. FORZA MILAN!
This is the difference between a coach & a Good Coach. Allegri should have planned his tactics long before, forget suspension Imagine if IBRA had a long term injury (GOD FORBID).what would have been his gameplan, he thought that IBRA would serve him for the next 10 years so he got rid of Ronaldinho. In all honesty I do think Dinho would have added more to the squad if Allegri had the right approach. From now on the team will fare better, as far as PATO & Robinho are concerned ,I assume they were waiting for a situation like this. clearly… Read more »
I hope when he returns to play as the first games.IBRACADABRA
Cassano-Pato-Robinho-Beretta-Simone Verdi we have many solutions.FORZA MAGICO MILAN!!!!!
thats all gud nothing to be worried about we still have three quality strikers available with prince and pirlo who both can play the CAM postion shud be back for the derby so bring it, good try inter really good try with calciopoli but remember this UR TIME IS UP OUR TIME IS NOWWW!!!! FORZAA MILLANNOOOOOO!!!
I believe the KPB=Pato=Cassano will step in and do the job. Pato will shine. Robinho will, I don’t know, he still needs to work on his shooting, from a yard out and with no keeper. If Robinho learns to shoot, then the midfield against Inter will be Pirlo – Urby – Prince:

Guess who is the Prime Minister of Italy :)
this is why we should have kept leo last year…. he would have picked up robinho and kept dinho….Point is this should be blamed on ALLEGRI NOT IBRA…Ibra has been tired and needed rest…look at the first few weeks compared to the last few you can see a diffrnce in a well rested and match fit Ibra comapred the the tired fatigued Ibra
AND DO YOU GUYS EVEN FOLLOW THE PLAYERS!!!!! PATO HATES BEING THE MAIN STRIKER HE HAS SAID THE SAME THING FOR THE PAST 3 SEASONS
Everyone got what they wanted. Lets see how we do without Zlatan, I hope Pato,Robinho, and Cassano step up, and lead us to glory.
its a shame that ibra will not play against inter bt am also happy that he has a chance to rest and prepared for the other games, now pato, binho, and cassano its time to shine and tell the world that milan is not build aroung ibra… FORZA MILAN
Cassano is player like Pippo Inzaghi, from 70th minute he can decide…
on Inter:
Abbi
Abate – Nesta – Thiago – Antonini
Gattuso – Van Bommel – Pirlo
Boateng
Pato – Robinho
Some players will sure be happy for the news (Pato-Robinho..) They have a pathetic attitude toward him since Ronaldinho left and blame him for his Milan departure .
Ibrahimovic planned this! last game when he picked a yellow card for wasting time. His Frustration is not about his form but rather about uncooperative and unappreciative teammates. If they think they can do it without Ibra they should have done it before his arrival.
Allegri WAKE UP to what is happening in the dressing room and be a REAL COACH!!!
I been aplauding allegri recently, but you have to understand ibra as well. This guy is extremly tired, and with all respect he has right to be tired. Allegri have to be open minded and creative in his coaching, and here we are blaming milan for not beeing creative on pitch with this kind of coach I beleive Ibra WANTED this ban, this card is exactly what he wanted. Allegri would play him untill he would throw up blood. Doesnt allegri understand when you dont let a players play all the time and rest players sometimes it ONLY motivate them… Read more »
Shervin I agree completely Look at the players we have injured….some will be back while some may not wanna return to a side under Allegri
I don’t think would bee wise to play with the same formation!!! Due to injured players and ibras missing the 3 upcoming games i think we should go back to the formula of 2007: 4-1-2-2-1

it will be good actually.he gets a rest and pato can play the main centre forward role with robinho and cassano in support.u need speed and movement to beat inter(tottenham, udinese).
Can somebody answer me this please … I read somewhere that Ibra HAS to be signed at the end of the season as part of his contract … Is this true?
He deserved the ban more for stupidity than anything. Maybe this will adjust his attitude, though I highly doubt it. With him, the world revolves around him and he has zero accountability.
Hopefully Allegri will run a 4-3-3 now with MVB in the center back deep.
RB – Abate
RCB – Nesta
LCB – Thiago Silva
LB – Jajkulovski
RCM – Gattuso
CDM – MVB
LCM – Boateng
RF – Pato
CF – Cassano
LF – Robinho
@Louis – this is true. he is on loan this season but milan is ibligated to sign him this summer but with installment payments instead of a huge lump sum. gallani is a genius
now let’s hope Ambrossini and Pirlo could return for the game against Inter.
PLEASE PLEASE DON’T APPEALLLLLLL instead this is the time to give chances to other players as everybody knows IBRA is not a big match player it will not make difference during INTER match
Ibra’s not a big match players? Really?
Hmm…he’s the only reason, we progressed to the round of 16 in CL. He’s also scored the winner against Inter, Juve,Lazio,Napoli,Palermo,Udinese, and Fiorentina.
Who’s the big match player? Let me guess, Pato? LOL..whens the last time he scored in a Derby? Wait….whens the last time, he scored in the Cl? Nearly two years ago, hahahaha…..we’re going to put our hopes on a overrated 21 year old…bye bye Scudetti.
I hope we don’t bottle the title, but we probably will….
@ Rossonero23
I understand where you’re coming from. Everybody blames Ibra for everything, you other players somehow escape the blame. Very frustrating to witness. Lose as a team, win as a team.
There’s no denying that Ibra’s our best player, and oru most important player. His numbers don’t lie, 14 goals and 12 assists. Without him, I”m afraid we’d be fighting for a top 4 finish, as USUAL.
I’ll fully support any player that joins Milan.
Forza Milan. Lets win without Ibra, to show that we’re not Ac Ibra.
This is not funny, i hope Ibra comes back for Inter. Its good to experience the team without Ibra and see what Pato, Robinho, and Casssano can do? The question is what if they flubbed then what are you going to do with the absence of Ibra!?
This ban can make us lose the Scuddito you know. I really hope Ibra comes back, incase he doesn’t then lets hope Pato wakes up and starts scoring. FORZA MILAN
Yeeaaah boyyy!
I think people are being a bit harsh on ibra, he is a very good player its just allegri dnt knw how to use him properly he constantly plays him even in the games milan are more than capable of winning without him this puts all the pressure on his shoulders, dnt get me wrong I aint the biggest ibra fan but still I can see a good player when I see one and ibra is most defintly a class player
@[email protected] First of all, pato havnt been playing many derby matches, which you should of known if u were a real milan fan who follow milan matches. Pato always been injuried for derby matches, exception for a few. We MUST applaud patos recent form, he have stay out of injuries for a long time now. Compared to ibra i only see improvment for pato, the opposite about ibra. Ibra is known for beeing VERY bad against the big teams, last derby ibra scored on a penatly. So based on that you say the derby is over? Pato on the other… Read more »
Thats good they gave him the ban. Ibra you better pray you don’t fuck up our season moron does stupid shit like that in our stadium I really hope they don’t get him next year get balloteli please him and pato good for another 10 years froza Milan
This whole ‘Ibra bashing’ has to stop. Trouble with milan, inter, barca, real, manu, city, chelsea, is that we like our players to have big, REAL BIG, egos. You wanna check it out? Gattuso, Cassano, Ibra, Prince, (add more milan names till you never finish) all of them have egos that are bigger than the amazon jungle! And I’m not blaming them here, because they’re the very ones we want. We don’t want Chicharito, we want Balotelli. And by we, I mean we the fans. Yep, if C. Ronaldo was available, we would weep to get him. His ego? Forget… Read more »
IBRA is the play maker of AC Milan. AC Milan will most likely loss all there games with out IBRA
(Sami and other Ibra haters):
yeaaaaa… Ac Milan is “just as good without Zlatan”… Did you watch that pathetic game on Sat. against Palermo?
-Good luck with that thought!
