Allegri: ‘Everyone expected to win’

MASSIMILIANO ALLEGRI on the draw with Bari.

Milan had a golden chance to extend their gap from Inter to seven-points but they failed to win as they only salvaged a 1-1 against Bari at Stadio San Siro.

“We knew it wasn’t a game that was under lock and key before kick-off, but it got complicated with that goal in the first half,” Allegri said after the match.

Milan 1 – 1 Bari
Ambrosini ‘has offers’ but ‘wants to stay’

The coach added: “Bari did well to make the most of their only real chance. We were just too distracted on their free kick and should’ve avoided it.”

Antonio Cassano cancelled out Gergely Rudolf’s first half goal. Milan had their chances to decide the game, but had disallowed goals and misses.

“We created so many scoring opportunities and played an excellent second half. Everyone expected to win, but we are still five points clear at the top of the table and that’s not to be sniffed at.”

Not only the result is bad for Milan as Zlatan Ibrahimovic got sent off and is out of the game with Palermo and could also miss the Derby della Madonnina that takes place in two weeks. Allegri asks Ibra to stay calm and believes that he will return to scoring soon.

“Unfortunately he reacted. Zlatan was calm during the week and wanted to get back to scoring from open play. He moved well, but he mustn’t get so irritable if he hasn’t scored in a month,” Allegri concluded.

Allegri you need to learn from Ancelotti

Difference was Ancelotti ALWAYS lined-up an attacking starting XI, Allegri starting to defensive especially in midfield.

We went from 2 attacking midfielders to 3 defensive midfielders. Thats why we went out from CL and will struggle to lift seria a title.

Not only depending on this match, but overall. Nothing against ibra as he done much so far, but I only see downhill for him.

Ibra for Kaká
Cassano for Balotelli

Credit to Cassano for his goal, but rather balotelli as a future

@Shervin, you forgot this on your list: Ancelotti for Allegri!!! :D

Marc

Balotelli is a bigger headcase than Ibra, whose work rate eerily mirrors his. Additionally, he is allergic to grass, which means that the other team just has to alter the pitch a little bit to neutralize him.

allu allu

Good team efort but Gattuso and Ibra had to go out after the first half. All the work on the righ side was done by Abate, Gattuso was like a wall no creativity not so ever. All the time he touched the ball was bad pasing and no pushing in the right side to get Abate abit more time for much better crosing. I’m quite sad about that. Ibra wasn’t on his game at all, i appreciate his effort but it wasn’t the ice breaker and i really hate the fact that Allegri didn’t see what was the problem and… Read more »

@Marc

I agree with you, he is. But Balotelli moves around all the time, he never wait for the ball like ibra.

Did you notice after ibra’s red card how our team moved? No more stupid long balls towards ibra, we created more those few minutes without ibra than with him. But im not forgetting ibras goals for us so far.

He needs to move more and less complaning and act stupid on pitch. I would swap ibra for kaka anyday anytime

Skaldinho

@allu allu: 3 goalkeepers? why not :-D

Its more and more clear, that Pato and Ibra CANT play together. I am sure that in next match we will score atleast 2 goals and without so much effort as Ibra wont play.

ilkapitano

Ibra out..balotelli in..
Seedorf out..robben in..
Gattuso and ambro out..lassana diara in..
Janku and jamro out..cissoko in..
Bring back kaka home..

Student

Allegri’s “PLAY TO IBRA ” the only tactic he knew is in jeopardy now. He has a week to come up with something new.
His stupidity will cost Milan the tile at the end of the season . Let Allegri know that his ass is up for sacking along with Ibra . Ancelotti enough of the English weather ,you need some Italian Pizza’s .Get your ass here now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ilkapitano great way to make suicide dude…

Ancelotti will leave Chel$ea in the summer. I hope he returns to Milan. He’s a better manager, then our current joker.

Andriy Shevchenko

@Gangsta unit Lahm is RB ,Higuain is worst than Hunteelar and no way we get Roben his injured all the time we don’t need RB or LB on RB we got Abate and Sokratis on LB Emanuelson and Didac

we need midifilders something like this:
sell Flamini and Antonini buy Lamela,Diarra,Granero,Moussa Sishoko and that all we need also l wouldn’t like to buy Ibra cause his work rate is poor it’s better to buy left wing and bring back Paloschi or buy Baloteli cause he can operate on left wing

allu allu

@Skaldinho: nice observation :-D

@GanstaUnit99xx: you got a nice team there dude :-D, it’s nice to dream sometime but not with opened eyes. I hope we get 2-3 young talents next summer.
Go Milan.

Milano Q8

Hi guys, was having a bad day yesterday not just for Milan thats way did not want to participate. In brief, all players played bad except for Silva. Silva was the best player he plays with consistency. I don’t want to focus on each player what has been said so far is enough. Despite of the frustration and players being tired, I think if Seedorf played beginning of 2nd half things may have turned around differently. Cassano should have started and Ibra as sub. I think Allegri wanted to sacrifice for this match to take the 7 points lead. This… Read more »

Anil

Emanuelson played well in second half….he injected the pace in midfield….in first half Milan were too slow in build up..but you can easily see in second half we were much better..
If Milan played with intensity & speed from 1st min then may be score would be 3-0/4-0

Danial

@Andriy Shevchenko, GanstaUnit99xx On Lahm, not necessarily. He played at left back for a great deal of time back when Sagnol was around. He was just as good. He played there for Germany at times too back then. It would be great to have that team, Gangsta, but we gotta be a little realistic here don’t you think? Haha. Even by a long shot I think we could only get just one of them. Which could most likely be either Robben or Lahm considering Bayern aren’t doing well in the Bundesliga. That’s just dream talk though. Arsenal would surely hold… Read more »
