SOKRATIS PAPASTATHOPOULOS is staying for now, but could leave in the summer.
FC Zenit St. Petersburg showed interest in Milan defender Sokratis but the player has decided to stay at the club, according to CEO Adriano Galliani.
However, Papa’s agent, Nikolaos Klitsidis doesn’t rule out a move away from Milan in the summer, as his client has found very limited playing time.

“It’s not true [that Papastathopoulos was thinking to join Zenit], Sokratis wants to help his club to win the Scudetto after many years,” Klitsidis told TMW.
“If he will join Zenit he will go in the summer, and I know also that the Russian market ends today. We’ll in June, he’d like to stay. Then if an interesting offer, for the player and the club, arrives, we’ll consider it.”
The 22-year-old’s agent revealed that three German clubs are tracking Papastathopoulos. Genoa, his former club, are also following him.

I do NOT WANT HIM TO LEAVE. He is young and one for the future. At the very most, send him on loan, if he is to grow he needs to play, quite simple.

Milan desparately need to get rid of BONERA. I’m not a big fan of Skoratis but he is young and can improve with time. Bonera on the other hand he will be 30yrs old in May and there is no room for improvement due to his age, so Bonera must go!

Keep him so Allegri can sit next to him on the bench for the next 15 years and then he will be a regular in the Milan side.

We need to give him a chance, when he has played he has looked impressive, I’d even like to see him play as a defensive mid. He has great speed, Milan must give him a fair shake.
he’s stil like 23 i believe! he’s 11 years younger than Nesta AND Yepes…send him on loan to roma genoa arsenal…whoever would willingly play him constantly…he is impressive for such a young man and he could possibly be a long term replacement to Nesta if he grows right and strong.

gattuso has had enough playing time.though i dont underate bari let start emmanuelson and may be socratis.drop ibra as well cos we have a lot of difficult games coming up,of which bari is on paper the easiest

Gattuso has been marvelous in the last 2 games and he’s vital to our title run. He’s been well rested as he didnt play in London, and so is MvB, so expect both to play against Bari. Either Merkel or Boateng can complete the midfield.
yes TJ56, gattuso has been good.he did score the winner againgst juve but like i said there are more difficult games ahead.his performances were good and he did rest against spurs but we must also put some confidence in emma as well by starting him.he shouldnt be only a back up.Boateng is injured and it wud have been nice to play merkel.but i fear our coach may opt for flamini or seedorf

Gattuso is vital for this team in important games, and has been a key reason why, along with Van Bommel, we win games. Boateng is uncertain to make the game, but I think he’ll be on the bench. Merkel should start… but both Van Bommel and Gattuso should start. Bari has one of the worst defensive records in the league, and the lowest goal scored… but lets not underestimate them.
Papa should not play CB in Milan unless he improves his positioning skills. His positioning skills are atrocious. I want to see him play as a DM. He looks like he can be another Gattuso. Papa tries to kill the opponents, and that is more fit for DM. Its too risky to put him in the pk box. I’m always scared that the opponents will get a penalty each time Papa is playing. To top it off, you can’t get away with small fouls in the Serie A. The refs will call you out on it.
He is only 22…give him more playing time…don’t sell him..it will be mistake…against smaller teams He and T.Silva should play together..

And for that, it wolud be better get Astori and Mexes (I saw in many places that we already did). In that case, we don’t need Sokratis, Onyewu Legrottaglie and Yepes. A squad of 6 will be enough with Thiago Silva, Nesta, Mexes, Bonera, Astori and Albertazzi – for the CB-position.
