Milan readying €25m swoop for Ganso

ADRIANO GALLIANI has already spoken to the player as Milan are readying a bid for him.

It seemed that Milan have chosen Sao Paulo’s Lucas Marcelinho for the attacking midfielder role, but new reports suggest today that Milan are preparing a bid for Santos’ Paulo Henrique Ganso.

According to rumours in Brazil, Milan are set to offer Santos €25 million – an amount that is believed to be enough to convince the Brazilian club to sell him.

Milan reach agreement over Lucas Marcelinho?

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani, who had a meeting with DIS (the company that owns 45% of the card of Ganso, apparently had a meeting with the player himself, in December, when Galliani was in Brazil for the sale of Ronaldinho to Flamengo.

Ganso has reportedly confirmed his willingness to move to Milan and the Rossoneri continue to monitor the player’s physical condition, as he’s still recovering from a serious knee injury.

The move is planned for the summer of course.

nick

This would be great!I’m a big fan of Ganso But I’ll believe it when it happens!

elmickio

Ill believe it when I see it!
Btw Ganso has already two serious knee injuries and he’s only 21, just letting you all know.

Seba

Ganso in, Slowdorff out…:) :) :)

Milan

tooo expensive……….but sure uncle will bring it down…………….

AP

Werboy & Elmickio – Good points. These notes of caution are worth considering.

This guy is recovering from serious knee injury. Do you think he will be the same player after that? 25 million is a lot of money maybe we should invest in some other player.

mattfifa

if milan want to get ganso…dey shouldnt hav bought marcelinho. they play same role.

Milano Q8

I still dont know if he is coming or not. Looks like there is a confusion on his arrival. I would say let’s just till the summer and not wasting our time in discussing a player that may not arrive due to either injury or ruammer. Forza Milan

Forza Milan

we need more younger players in our team to be able build a strong future team. Why Pato did not played on Saturday can someone tell me?? Forza Milan

Sheva7

25m is too many! But is good and i think he deserve it!And we must get Pirlo and Nesta replasement!!!fossa dei leoni!!!!!!!!!!

ben

i know his talent and potential are very high, but i’m worried this will be another gourcuff.. between robinho and cassano who are both in their prime years, i dont see any room for ganso, at least as much as he would like. He will need time to adapt to italy and the playing style.. at his price, i dont know if its a good deal… does anyone know his playing style exactly? can he cover pirlo or is he out and out attacking mid??

Giancarlo

Another GOurcuff? First off he’s Brazilian and young Brazilians do very well at Milan. And secondly stop comparing Robinho and Cassano to Ganso. Ganso is an attacking midfielder. Robinho and Cassano are not. Ganso is definitely worth it. He’ll play behind Ibra, Robinho… we can rotate.

Simo

After this winter season signings, please, give some respect to Galliani, he knows what the club needs. I’m proud now, we had the best winter signings ever, without spending a lot. If Galliani says he’s worth this money, then i believe in him. Remember, in the last 6 months, he brought in Ibrahimovic, Boateng, Amelia, Robinho, Yepes, Sokratis, Montelongo, Van Bommel, Emanuelson, Vila, and Cassano. I repeat, some respect please.

Milan

Why get him? cassano is an AM by the way an with robinhos new wrk ethic he can play there too. I know merkel isn’t as good but I think he could be I mean he’s 3 years younger and we need more players from the youth team. plus don’t forget we have Verdi coming in a few years and he is a monster plus Italian

yup

This site has the WORST server and update system EVEERRR!!! hardly ever gets updated and a lot of the times doesnt even connect very very ANNOYING!”

Mak.V

ganso is very good move cos he can play both as CAM and playmaker like pirlo in CM, seedorf OUT!!! ganso IN!! I suppose gattuso and van bommel will also be heading out from midfield area so its a good move, astori shud be coming in the summer with leggrotile, bonera, janku, and maybe oddo all heading out so am guessing summer is going to be PRETTY busy, YAY cant wait FORZA MILAN

Milanista

Ganso has talent that we don’t currently have, but those knee injuries worry me. Some players never get back from those.

Zso

So the Blog not reachable 8 out of 10 times but not even updating… Metytar should allow others to update this site…

bucci

thats quite alot of money for an injured player…

morten

lot of money for a young player with 2 major knee injuries
looked at some youtube video with LUCAS MARCELINHO he looked very good, fast with the ball good pasning skills.

tesar

Ganso and Lucas. Sign them both :)
Seedorf as coach.

Danny

This guy will be world class almost as soon as he arrives in Europe. He had a serious injury, but he’s not the type of player that has physical explosion. He’s a pure playmaker, one who relies on technique and vision rather than speed and dribbling. I think he’ll do fine,

Jay Zeneros

@Zso
Maybe the whole incident taking place in Egypt is probably affecting Meytar from updating the site.

milan guy

UPDATES?!

tbone

This would make me happy but i’m almost more worried about a permenant Nesta replacement or maybe a younger holding midfielder incase of another injury crisis like this year.

Dave

I really like Ganso… his talent and potential is unquestionable. But, as people above have mentioned, his two surgeries including this current serious knee injury is a really big concern. To note a similar case: I love Kaka, he is my absolute favorite player… but there is no question after his reoccurring knee problems in 2008 to the present, he has not been the same player. RM splashed the cash for him (great for Milan) and he’s failed to really make any impact in Spain (again due to injuries)… I’d hate for us, Milan, to splash for Ganso and run… Read more »
