MASSIMILIANO ALLEGRI is ready to give some rest to all his first-choice defenders.
AC Milan are using the game against Ajax to rest some of the key players, and according to Studio Sport, Coach Allegri is ready to line-up a whole new defense on Wednesday night at Stadio San Siro.
It appears that Massimo Oddo and Daniele Bonera will be the fullbacks, with the former Brescia man playing on the left side of the defense.

In the middle, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Mario Yepes are expected to start. Yepes has impressed and proved to be a good replacement for Sandro Nesta and Thiago Silva, while Sokratis disappointed when played.
Other changes in the line-up that will face Ajax (kick off – 20:45 CET): Marco Amelia will take over Christian Abbiati’s place between the sticks; Ronaldinho will replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

what about montelongo? is he injured? if he does not meet milan’s expectation, why does milan sign/loan him?
i might be wrong, but i think we are limited in our team selection by the roster sheet we submit to UEFA in august.. either way, all the players so far are on the list, but i’d like to see verdi, merkel, strasser play and de vito get a run at left back. if not, jankulovski over bonera, he’s done enough for milan to deserve a game this season. (love the left footed volley against sevilla in 07 super cup)
Montelongo and Strasser and the other youngsters were not on Milan`s list submitted to the UFA therefore they cannot play

Strasser can play because he is on B list with Pato. How bout Merkel, Montelongo and other primaveras? can they play??? i hope to see them gain experience against Ajax.

To all the Montelengo fans, maybe the reason he hasn’t even been on the bench is that he sucks in practice!? Just a thought!?
Montelongo not listed in B-Team. But Strasser, Pato, and Verdi were listed, so they can play in UCL. But where’s Antonini? is he still injured? cause instead of Bonera playing as left-back, i rather see Antonini in there.

as long you’re under 21, you don’t need to be registered. Montelongo IS under 21. Same with merle albertazzi devito and strasser.
wow well that’s disappointing news as I was really looking to see Montelongo, De Vito, and Onyewu feature. In the case of Montelongo from what I’ve seen he’s a great attacking wing back who could add a lot in that position while Oddo is just another veteran. Also I really wanted to see De Vito who’s been performing for our Primavera and is a great left back while Bonera is overated and not getting any better. Allgeri should play Albertazzi, Odumandi, Strasser, Merkel and Verdi. These are players who have come from the youth team so they know what the Rossoneri shirt means. If Allegri doesn’t play these kids he is really an amateur who is lucky that a Swedish guy is scoring goals for him.
