AC MILAN are allegedly going to use Thiago Silva in order to land Benfica defender David Luiz.
il Corriere dello Sport reports that Milan have told their defender, Thiago Silva to help them in the transfer of Benfica 23-year-old center-back Luiz.
Silva and Luiz are close friends and are playing together in the national team of Brazil. Thiago has shown his desire to play with Luiz at Milan, and he may be the key for his arrival.
Milan to move for Fabiano in January?
OM after Milan veteran Oddo?
Luiz is said to be unhappy in Portugal, and Benfica are apparently ready to cash in on him, after failing to progress to the next round in the Champions League, following the defeat to Israeli champions Hapoel Tel Aviv 3-0.
Manchester City and Chelsea are also willing to sign the player, and unlike Milan, they might be ready to pay €25 million to land him.
Milan on the other side, prefer to rely on the good relationship of the player with Thiago Silva, and on their good relationship with Benfica Sporting Director and former Milan attacking midfielder, Manuel Rui Costa.

Lmao 25mill? hell no!!!! come on now milan Astori has now proven his worth in italy and i think about 5-6mill could bring him back and Criscito for 12-15mill, paloschi for 3mill and Ganso for 10mill and we will be much more than what we are now which isnt enough!!!!
@ fyah-man
shitter-bum says…….read it properly, cuz it says “unlike milan” which literally mean..chelsea and man city are willing to pay 25million for david luiz !!!
Good news for once! Please get him … Have Brazilian centre-backs and Italian wingers
looks like this one may favor milan heavily…lets hope so…but the only question is…what of nesta?
Hey Fyah are you kidding me Luiz is way better than Astori! maybe thats why chelsea and city and luiz and dont want astori! Ganso for 10 mi? kidding again? Ganso is better than Pastore!
Nesta shud be there for 1 more year I geuss. Dn he shud proudly retire. Dn we must have his succesor. No matr who he ll b.
I want dat player 2 b strong , fast , gr8 tackler. N defensive leader. Dn mayb astori , luiz , sakho , etc.
Luiz kn b used as strng fullback if v get hm. Or we kn get a pure fullback. As per milan management needs.
I MISS MALDINI!
astori is young and talented like luiz but luiz is better in one aspect that he has gained some int exp and ru costa is a gud person i hope he will chose milan for the better future fr the plyr coz grooming of brazilians is only be possible here.
yah get him nesta should be sitting down by now becos he cant run faster.he should be on the bench and be substituted.
we should give Benfica seedorf, gattuso and oddo plus£10m for david luiz!!!
In from youth team ‘merkel’ to take seedorf’s place and then boateng should take gattuso’s place in the starting line. If we do get D.Luiz then he should take nesta’s place in the starting and then nesta should be used as a substitute.
I say go for Luiz. He and Thiaguinho can partner up well, and for years to come too. But just as a note, I’m not sure if some people fully understand certain transfer issues. Those who say “we should purchase x for 10 mil, y for 5 mil, and z for 15 mil instead of getting so-and-so.” I don’t think you understand the fact that Milan must pay out wages every week. So yes, the transfer sums will be equal but the weekly wage bill will – usually – be much higher for those 3 players than just the 1… Read more »
