Zaragoza to clear off Old Debt

ZARAGOZA to clear off debt for Oliveira.

Zaragoza have agreed to pay off the outstanding debt they have with Milan for the purchase of the Brazilian Striker Ricardo Oliveira.  Something everyone probably had forgotten now.

Oliveira was bought by Milan on August 2006 after the lost of the Milan star Shevchenko. Desperately Milan sought out a replacement. Oliveira was the answer for them. He signed a Five-Year contract over a two-week dispute for the transfer fee. Finally they reached an agreement estimated of €17.5 Million.

Oliveira debuted on the opening day match against Lazio and scored his first goal. Unfortunately he only scored two more times in a total of 3 goals in 26 appearances. He was loaned out the following season to Zaragoza which he created an incredible partnership with Diego Milito. Zaragoza agreed to buy the Brazilian for €10 Million.

After the relegation of Zaragoza from the Spanish League, Oliveira left For Betis for a low deal of €8.9 Million. He has recently left to Al-Jazira for €14 Million.

Despite all these moves, Zaragoza has yet to pay off completely the purchase of the Brazilian striker from Milan. They agree to pay of the remaining debt over a period of six years. Probably up to now, everyone has forgotten the flop season of Oliveira at Milan. Thus this news creeps itself to the minds of the Tifose, reminding them of the poor choices sometimes the Milan Management do without thinking.
