HUNTELAAR may be holding up Milan’s transfer plans.
Milan are reported to be interested in several different attackers, including Lukas Podolski, Eder and Giovani Dos Santos, but Klaas Jan Huntelaar’s desire to stay with the club is making progress difficult.
Podolski’s excellent World Cup form reassured many critics who questioned his poor performances last season with FC Koln. Milan have been linked with the player several times this summer, but in order for the deal to go any further somebody needs to leave the Italian club. The sale of Huntelaar could raise up to €15 million which could be used to purchase Podolski, but the Dutchman seems keen to remain in Italy.
Inzaghi: ‘Ronaldinho is motivated’
Dida: ‘This team will do well this year’
Brazilian sensation Eder is another player who is apparently being considered by Milan’s management. The 23 year old Empoli striker was last season’s top scorer in Serie B and could be a valuable replacement for Huntelaar. He has been heavily linked with newly-promoted Brescia in recent weeks, but a move to Milan is not yet out of the question.
Tottenham’s Giovani Dos Santos is also a possible purchase. The 21 year old performed well for Mexico at the World Cup and could help to add creativity to the Milan midfield.
None of these players can be properly considered, however, as long as Huntelaar refuses to leave the club. He is reported to have rejected offers from Benfica and Schalke 04, and it may take a very impressive deal to lure him away from the San Siro.

i dnt mind huntelaar stayin i think they should give him a real chance….retire inzaghi the end of this season and get a young striker if zigoni still not ready ooh and polschi
Why Huntelaar schould leave?!?!? I don`t get it! Get rid of Pippo, Oddo, Jankulovski, Zambrotta and some high salary guys like Pirlo or Gattuso. And then you can replace them buy striker and such midfielders like Dos santos and Boateng!
I agree why should Huntelaar be the one to leave, besides Podolski is not good at club level, Milan said no to Dos Santos(yes!!) and Eder does not fit Milans plans. Get rid of some old players before signing anyone.
i agree with you all my fellow fans.there are many old and usless players like kaladze, jankulovski, gattuso, borriello roma and so on who suporse to leave the club not a player like HUNTELAAR.
Zso! You really mean Milan should keep Huntelaar and Sell Pirlo!!??
Are you stupid?
Milan should invest on somebody that fresh and future not out of date like ibra. Please get Neymar, at 30M tag price he is an incredible talent to play alongside Pato. No need Ibra (+40M is too much). Dzeko not that bad..If Hunter doesn’t want to leave, let him prove himself till winter, then decide.
Its alright, i like Huntelaar and he should given the second chance to prove himself.. anyway he ‘s somehow better than Borriello i think
i hope Hunter will remain at Milan.
Hagen – Pirlo receives around 5-6 million salary annually. He is 31 and lost speed, motivation and i haven`t seen him playing well for more than a year. his Free kicks are not dangerous anymore! Some say he had no partner…well with Pato, Borriello, Ronaldinho it is hard to believe. Simply he is getting old and slow. Midfield is the place where you sould have players who die on the field and run a lot like Gattuso used to be! But NOT ANYMORE! You all saw how Milan got tired again ManU and basically our Midfield wasn`t on the field… Read more »
I would rather see Janku, Kaladze and Oddo leave, Huntelaar is a good player, but people seem to be to narrow, Borriello is not old, and he is a fantastic target man, better than Huntelaar. He gets on nearly every pass given to him, hes always a constant threat, and he works so hard for the team, i hate reading that people dont appreciate him, and remember what he did in serie a the year we brought him back from Genoa, Borriello should be a focus point in attack, and as Allegri i think it was who said Pato is… Read more »
Huntelaar, not even remain but playing. Eder is a good option, but if you sell Borriello we may get him
hunter is innocent, he deserve another chance. the ones that cause the delay are janku and kaladze. get rid of them, and also oddo. even zambrotta should be consider to put in transfer list. for pirlo, gattuso, seedorf and pippo, they should stay for at least another season. they can be good mentor for the youngsters. about ronnie, we should sell him but if only galliani willing to buy good replacement for him. his not gonna be in top form this season, not if he still partying all night long.. :P
