JAVIER ZANETTI has told he will always remember Paolo.
Inter’s captain Zanetti, who just renewed his contract for further three years and will play with the Nerazzurri until he will be 40, has told today that AC Milan living legend Paolo Maldini was the best he ever played. Zanetti, who celebrates today his 37th birthday said:
“Paolo Maldini was my best opponent, which I will always remember in the best memories for his loyalty and honesty. In all these years, to ‘deal’ with him in any derby was a pleasure and an honor.”

‘Allegri must learn to live with Berlusconi’
Zanetti is not Italian but still he’s considered an Inter legend, as he joined them in 1995 Argentine side Club Atlético Banfield and since then he played over than 500 matches for Inter.
The word legend doesn’t even start to describe Maldini. The player has won everything with the Rossoneri shirt, as he grew in the club’s youth system, (debuted when he was 16) and played more than 640 matches in 25 years.

miss the maldini:(
This man is all class, and is only Interista who gets my respect.
FORZA MALDINI
yes i respect zanetti he is far higher class then balotelli and moratti and MATERAZZI and ibrahimovic.but he is nothing to maldini.interistas think he is up there but maldin i was called the best before he even retired
I prefer just to re say Ronaldinho,s sentence in an interview with Della Gazzetta that he said:”Maldini was not the best defender of the world, cos he was from another world.”Maldini was not a defender,or a legend either,MALDINI WAS MALDINI!FORZA CAPITANO GRANDE ,LOOKIN, FORWARD FOR CHRIS AND DANI.
he is a legend.better than any defenders.
