Ronaldinho chase to reopen in January, says Flamengo

FLAMENGO are not giving up on Ronaldinho.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Flamengo but AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has insisted ‘Dinho is going nowhere. However, Flamengo President, Patricia Amorim, has told he will try another swoop.

“We are interested in signing Ronaldinho and we can afford his wage demands. However, AC Milan do not want to sell him now. We will try a new approach in January,” she told O Globo.

Flamengo technical director and Brazil legend Zico has revealed he’s in contact with Roberto de Assis, brother/agent of Ronaldinho, but admitted that his side cannot afford ‘Dinho.

“We have decided to postpone the Ronaldinho deal to the near future. AC Milan’s asking price is too high for our club,” Zico said.

“We hope to sign Ronaldinho once his contract with the Italian club expires next year. I am in touch with his brother and agent Roberto de Assis – he will talk to AC Milan to find a compromise for the future”.
