SOKRATIS PAPASTATHOPOULOS is the newest name being linked with Milan.
The young defender has a contract runs out in 2011 and following his good performance with Greece national team in the 2010 South Africa World Cup (in particularly against Argentina) he’s attracting the interest of Milan.
Milan are interested in the player as he can play more than one role: apart from his regular position as a central defender, Papastathopoulos can also function as a defensive midfielder.
Milan consider contract renewal for veteran
Ambrosini: Renewal? Milan have other priorities
Milan are in endless race to find the heir of Alessandro Nesta for the forthcoming seasons, as Nesta is not as healthy or strong as he was few seasons ago.
The rapport between Genoa and Milan are good following the arrival of Marco Amelia; with Genoa, there are also negotiations about loan deals for Gianmarco Zigoni, Nnamdi Oduamadi and Michelangelo Albertazzi.
