Pato Committed To Milan

ALEXANDRE PATO has never intended to leave.

The Brazilian was reported to depart the Rossoneri this summer with Real Madrid and Chelsea competing for the 20-year-old, but he reminded them today where his home is.

“I never said I wanted to leave,” the striker said in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I’m happy here, this is my home. I have a contract until 2014, and my life is in Milan’s hands.”

Pato was injured for long time in the last year. He feels he could help Milan more. “Yes, I could have done more,” added Pato. “But I got injured three times and stayed sidelined for 40 days. It’s too bad, because I was scoring goals for fun.

“I wanted to win, I hope it will happen next year. I’m happy that we will be competing in the Champions League. But Milan have been winning trophies for many years and I will give my all to make it happen again. I want to score 20 goals and be crowned Capocannoniere [top scorer in Serie A]. I want it all.”
