Administrator: Van Basten Was My Best Purchase

MARCO VAN BASTEN is AC Milan’s best acquisition, at least in Berlusconi’s period, says Milan Adriano Galliani who chose it when looked at the cost and output.

The Rossoneri are not known as big-spenders, as they always try to look up to the cheap player, but a one who has a lot of talent. It didn’t work out well with everybody, as Milan has had some big outlays during the years.

AC Milan celebrated 110 years on Wednesday, and during the party Milan had thrown, Adriano Galliani was asked about the bet buy he has ever made. There are many options, but Galliani has chosen one player.

Galliani: So I Convinced Rino To Stay

“The best purchase of our history is neither Shevchenko nor Pato,” he said. “Because what we have paid dear.  Sure, they have made much, but almost 50 million for Sheva and 23 million for Pato are many.

“When you make assessments, you also check the money you paid. For Kakà we paid €7m.

“But there is another purchase that I feel unbeatable and I speak of a certain Dutch, which cost £1.800m. If Pato wins more titles, then it would be different, but until then Van Basten is our best purchase,” he concluded.

Marco van Basten joined AC Milan in 1987 from Ajax, scored 90 goals in 147 appearances, and served the Rossoneri for six years. The Dutch striker netted 128 times in 133 matches for Ajax for a spell of five years.

Forza

No doubt about it. Marco van Basten is our greatest player from abroad. Marco has been at Milan for six years in the big Dutch period (pictured in the article) and he was very important

Whiney

Pato has done nothing to be even said with van Basten in the same sentence

Kaka, Sheva, Pato, they are all great, but cost much. Did Marco really costed that little?! I wish to have a player like him again even for 15-20m Euros

Aqau

Marco is the best

Tremendousice

I still say its Kaka, Milan was a mess without him. Until now they are getting used to playing on their own.
