LUCIANO SPALLETTI could be AC Milan coach next year, while Leonardo’s stats with Milan are not shining thus far.
The lack of experience by Leonardo is very substantial this season. The seven-time-Champions-League winners have won only 9 points, two wins, three draws and two defeats – in seven rounds.
Since the last year of Scudetto-winner Alberto Zaccheroni, this has never seen at Milan. Back then, the solutions was replacing a coach – would the history repeat itself in 2009?

Leonardo claims that if he leaves then he leaves for good. The Rossoneri have already potential coaches to replace the Brazilian when the most likely choice is former Roma coach Luciano Spalletti.
According to today’s il Corriere dello Sport, the Rossoneri would settle a deal with Spalletti over the next season since the Italian rules do not allow to a coach running two clubs in one year.
Luciano was reportedly close to FC Zenit St. Petersburg, however, the Russian club decided to hire Anatoli Davydov instead. Are Milan interest prevented the Italian coach to leave? We’ll know in the future.
