AC Milan Eye Former Roma Boss

LUCIANO SPALLETTI is maybe close to FC Zenit St. Petersburg, but that is not bothering to Milan, who are looking for a new coach, according to reports from the peninsula.

The former Roma tactician is suggested to be close to the Russian side, however, a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Milan are after the 50-years-old.

A.S. Roma had a poor start of the season, were in the last place after two rounds. Due to that and further issues, Spalletti resigned his position as Roma coach.

Spalletti: Leonardo Is Intelligent Enough To Find The Right Solutions

When former Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti quit his job last season, AC Milan vice president tried to sign Spalletti, but his club refused to let the experienced coach go.

However, for the manager, Milan are more attractive than Zenit, who are said to be very close to Spalletti’s ink, while the future of Leonardo will be a very big doubt at the end of the season should Milan continue to play this way.

Nevertheless, the Italian rules prevent Spalletti to sign at Milan, until July 2010, as the clause decides that a coach cannot be the manager of two different teams at the same year.

Leonardo claims he’s going nowhere, and he still needs some time, whilst vice president Galliani says the team is secure until next summer. However, Spalletti, who has no limited time to decide with Zenit and a job as a commentator at Italy, would weight up his options if Milan line up an offer.
