THE San Siro stadium will never be full, as the fans just didn’t buy enough season-tickets – worst year in Silvo Berlusconi’s 25 years.
The pressure on Leonardo and AC Milan is now even bigger, as Silvio Berlusconi is losing money every second, while the fans, are not going to be in the stadium to cheer their team up.
Milan are on the lowest rung. The sale of Kaka to Real Madrid is maybe the main factor the position Milan are in right now. People would buy tickets if Kaka was there, but this summer saw him leaves.
Last year, following Ronaldinho’s arrival, Milan sold 41,606 subscribers, but after this kind of performance by the Brazilian, and talks about him ready to retire – Milan sold only 25,984 – 15,622 less than this time last season.
Silvio Berlusconi has never sold so little season-tickets, as the only times Milan have dropped under 40,000 subscribers in Silvio Berlusconi’s 25-years with the club were on 36,624 in 1985/86, 37,297 in 2006/07 and 39,489 in 1998/99.
In the year before Ronaldinho has arrived Milan sold 42,179. But after finished in 5th place, the fans lost some hope, but got it back when Dinho arrived.
All the Serie A teams, besides Inter Milan, have sold this year less subscribers than last year. What does it mean? Maybe the Italian football is in danger when all the big stars and the good players go to the Spanish league…
