Preview: AC Milan – Inter Milan, the important one? +CL Draw

The most important event of the Serie A will be taking place on Saturday night. The Stadio San Siro is waiting for the two Milanese clubs, who are going to fight for more than just points, they will fight for honor, and respect. The pressure is on Inter side as a defeat will keep them five points from AC Milan

Historic Derby della Madonnina this year – this is the earliest stage the derby-taking place at Serie A. It never happened in the past on such an early date like August. This date however, leaves the teams with no league confidence, as they still don’t know what they worth after one round only. By looking at the results, or the matches, Milan are playing better, but in this kind of derby – the tension is incessant, and both teams can win the honor of beating their most bitter rival.

This is a home match, after playing away at Siena, the Rossoneri will finally play at home, but this is also the home stadium, of Inter Milan. The fans are defiantly a big part of the derby, the ultra ones have a common limit with nuts, but this is adding plenty of contents to the match if it doesn’t interesting as much as expected. The San Siro/Giuseppe Meazza stadium has 85,700 sits in it, and as much as people believe, it will be roomy like one-on-one room.

At Siena, the atmosphere was different, but Milan will try to repeat the result and the performance that brought the first three to the Black & Red outfit. Ronaldinho had good match and he’s the key player for Milan, who beat Siena 1-2 last Saturday. From the Blue side of the street we have Inter; the team could barely beat new promoted Bari. A penalty that wasn’t deserve to the Nerazzuri side, made the difference, but in the end of the battle, they extract 1-1 draw.

Pre-Match Mind Games Don’t Work Pal…

Despite the awful pre-season and the two defeats during it, Jose Mourinho, “The Special One”, has claimed the his side is weaker than Leonardo’s. In comments to these meaningless claims, AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani said Mourinho is a weasel as a joke, and then added that his team is 98 percent the winners of the super derby. While Galliani display answers Jose Mourinho, Marco Materazzi takes example from his coach, saying his side is the underdog.

But let’s be honest, those cheap tricks don’t really work anymore. It’s pretty obvious that there are no favorites for this kind of match, especially when it’s the second round of the Serie A. Let’s be straight, nothing is sure when you talking about one of these teams. The first results say not much whatsoever, but it would be good match. The derby wasn’t all square since October 2004, and no one thinks it going to be the same, despite Eto’o believes he will not score even one goal.

Jose Mourinho’s tactic way more than predicted, as Andrea Pirlo told. Long balls, long balls, long balls. But there is one problem in this tactic – Zlatan Ibrahimovic is now all gone. Samuel Eto’o is good forward but he knows to play only passes. However, Diego Milito will need to work double for the team. I call “The Special One” – The Idler One, because he has been using all his energy in distracting when he has nothing to play with, and that’s not a smart thing to do.

Ah, A Win Against Inter Milan

The derby is very important occurrence, but I would lose two derbies for Milan getting the CL Trophy and the Scudetto. Would you? Well, according to his sayings on Friday, the Brazilian star Alexandre Pato is way more than disagree with me. He would give his life in exchange for just a goal in this derby – this is unusual thing for a player who didn’t even grow in the club to say those things.

“Against Inter it will be a special clash. Anything can happen. They are strong, they won the league title, but we’re not inferior at Milan. Winning the derby can boost our confidence and increase our self-esteem,” Pato said, and added: “What would I give up to score against Inter? My life. Football is my life – it’s everything.”

AC Milan former defender and Uefa honored Paolo Maldini claimed during last week that he is sure that a win against Inter worth the Scudetto. It really doesn’t, for the simple reason this is only the SECOND ROUND! Everything could be change from one edge to the other until the end of the season, but Milan are clearly not the favorite for the Scudetto.

First Win In League Against AC Milan, That’s Nice

The main thought go over Inter mind is beating AC Milan, again, for the fourth time in a row. The new promoted Bari almost humiliated Italy champions Inter. The Nerazzuri have been losing two matches in a row already – were certain favourite for the Italian SuperCup against Lazio, who knocked out AC Milan from the Italian Cup Trophy last season. The 2-1 lose at Japan, opened the door to another horrible display, that time against Bari.

Lazio match was ok for Inter, but the Bari clash showed that Inter have some harsh problems in the defense. Former Bayern Munich man Lucio, still finds it hard to do defense work in the Italian league because the German is the total opposite. Bari created most of scoring chances at the match, and Inter who were hopeless last weekend at San Siro, were saving by a penalty that wasn’t supposed to be whistling.

Despite the lack in coordination, who hurts Inter unbeaten defense, another problem that will be solve fast is the lack of creativity in the midfield. However, Real Madrid helped also to the other side of the street, after sold Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to Milan. Now, when Wesley Sneijder signed at the club, the midfield should be improving. However, it has been reported that the new Inter player won’t take place at the Milanese derby.

The pressure is heavy on Jose Mourinho. ‘The Idler One’ need this win badly, a lose could be very problematic for the Black & Blue outfit. A second disappointed lose could hurt the players confidence, and make a big psychological blow that takes time to get over. A defeat will keep Inter five points behind the Rossoneri, and that would ruin Inter opener.

Great Emotion

Leonardo held a press conference ahead of the match against Inter, he said: “It’s a derby that comes very soon, I think it’s the first time it’s on the second matchday. The concentration doesn’t change, because it’s a special match in itself. We are confident about the match after what we’ve been doing recently. We’ve been working well, and now we face the team who have won in the last four years, so we can’t lack motivation.

“Victories are a consequence of many things. We are growing and you can see it on the pitch. I think that the way we are doing things now will bring good results. That should be our basis.”

AC Milan midfielder Mathieu Flamini spoke with il Corriere dello Sport, and said: “Scoring my first goal in the derby would be marvellous, especially in front of a stadium full of Milanisti.”

Good preview. I hope Milan will win. But a tie is more likely in my opinion…
