After Mourinho said Milan are stronger than Inter, without any really meaning, his defender, Marco Materazzi has been using the same technique, saying the Rossoneri have more chances of winning the derby than his team have
Despite wining the last Scudetto and the three last derbies, Inter are now feeling weaker than AC Milan … or this is just what they say. Italy national team defender Materazzi is now claiming his side are coming to the derby, aware to the fact they are the underdog.
Inter have already beaten Milan twice in pre-season, once at Boston, USA and once at Pescara, Italy. However, Marco believes the good opener Milan had against Siena, is giving them the favorite position, ahead of the big night, on Saturday, when Milan and Inter, will be facing.
"They have three points, we only have one, therefore they are the favorites," Materazzi told Sky Sport Italia.
"I can't hear the noise of the enemy, but I can see the colours of the opposition. The derby is always the derby, no matter where and no matter at what temperature it's played in.
"The atmosphere will always be hot, whether you play in August or in December."
