West Ham United’s back-winger could join AC Milan before of the end of this transfer window

With reports suggesting AC Milan plan a swap deal with West Ham that sees Massimo Oddo moving away and Julien Faubert, Oscar Damiani, who represents Faubert has hinted the Rossoneri are interesting in his client.

Faubert has been tipped to join Milan as part of a deal with no co-ownership, straight swap deal between him and Oddo. Massimo, who’s no longer needed at AC Milan, refused to go back to Lazio or to another team. But according to some reports, West Ham have found him interesting.

Oddo left Lazio on 2007 following a row with the club’s president, he arrived to Milan then and last season spent the year at Bayern Munich, who decided not to implement their option to buy the player on outright basis. Oddo returned to Milan, but he’s not part of Leonardo’s plans.

From the other side, Faubert is playing for the Hammers since 2007 and played a total of 29 games there. He spent the second half of the season at Real Madrid; there he didn’t success so much, recorded only two matches. Unlike Oddo, the Frenchman has made two starts this season.

However, Massimo and Julien could switch as his agent has gently said Milan showed their interest.

"[Sporting director Ariedo] Braida already knew about him, he didn't need my advice," Damiani told CNR Radio on Monday. "He is a very good player, physically strong and fast, but Milan know this already. He could be a major player for the team.

"He did not have many opportunities [at Real Madrid]. Also, he was just coming off an injury," he added.
