AC Milan wingback believes the poor results obtained this pre-season won’t be the same also in other campaigns
The Rossoneri fail on two fronts this summer: pre-season and transfer market. While Milan losing five games in a row and making so little in transfer season, teams like Inter and Juventus win their games and with it, strengthen their teams.
The press continues to publish stories about Andrea Pirlo – about the fact he might leave for Chelsea this window. However, Pirlo’s teammate in both Italy and Milan teams is confident his pal will not desert Milan for more money at The Blues.
“It’s not easy to say who should stay and who should be going. I think Pirlo will stay, he is an important player for us,” Gianluca Zambrotta told Sky Sports.
Later that day, Zambrotta spoke with Milan channel about the club’s pre-season preparations, in which they have lost five matches in a row and won only one time.
“I don’t think the first summer friendlies were indicative of the team’s real value. We played against teams further than us in the preparations and now at Milanello we will have all the time to recover,” the 2006 World Cup winner said.
“Also last season we did not to well during the summer but then we had the second best defense in the league and one of the best attacks.”
