Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko has signed a contract extension that sees him play for the German side until 2013

More bad news arriving to Milan this Saturday, as now this is Edin Dzeko who crushed Milan dream to sign him this summer. The Bosnian was linked with AC Milan for many weeks, but Wolfsburg refused to release him and rejected any offer for the Bosnian.

Milan were hanging some hopes on Dzeko, who said in the past that he wants to play for AC Milan. However, his latest comments were fairly different.

“I am happy to have concluded everything before the start of the league,” Dzeko said, as reported by Repubblica.it. “Now I can concentrate on the team, I can’t wait to start again with the Bundesliga and the Champions League.”

Everyone can agree now Milan move was a failure and the Rossoneri can scrap him from the list now. They already turned their intentions to Sevilla’s star Luis Fabiano, and to Real Madrid forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

Dzeko arrived to Wolfsburg on 2007 when he was 21-years-old from Czech club name Teplice. Thus far he scored 34 goals for the German side, 26 from the came last season when he led Die Wölfe to Bundesliga glory when they finished for the first time ever at first place.
