Milan chased after the 23-years-old striker for few weeks, but the deal was fell through two days ago, with the simple reason – Dzeko is not allowed to leave Wolfsburg as he tie hardy to his contract.
Dzeko said that he was being forced to stay at Wolfe against his will before, more than that, he said he will stay but he is very not happy with where he is. He said, “I am staying at Wolfsburg, but I am not happy. I would like to join Milan.”
That sounds like good news for the Rossoneri who have yet to sign any big name this summer. This thing even made Adriano Galliani declare that if Wolfsburg will change their minds in the coming 48 (24 today) hours, he flies to Germany to talk with them.
Now, remember this guy that said he is not happy with Wolfsburg… Two days left and suddenly his mind turns to be the opposite of what he said two days ago, when he announced about his staying.
“I feel very comfortable in Wolfsburg and will be giving 100% for the club next season,” he told Wolfsburg official site. ‘Feel very comfortable’ it is enough too see that something have changed since he said he dreams about Milan.
According to the German champions, there was a meeting between these two sides, which in the end of it, Dzeko confirmed to continue his German way. It been said:
“From Saturday, Dzeko will be at the training camp at Sylt. After a clarifying meeting with the directors, now he is sure: he will stay at Wolfsburg.” Dzeko was offered a contract extension, which probably comes with a big pay-rise, which he probably agrees to.
One thing is sure; Milan can forget about Dzeko and start looking for new targets. The most possible is Arsenal start Emmanuel Adebayor to become the main target of this transfer market. And maybe even Sevilla and Brazil striker Luis Fabiano.
This is the second deal to fall through after Cissokho deal with Porto, however, Milan have signed yesterday a 17-years-old player for Serie B. Bad news in big names, more pleasant in the unknown players for il Diavolo.
