Barbara Berlusconi has claimed there are no financial problems in the construction of a new Milan stadium and revealed Milan Lab will also have a commercial purpose in the future.
After completing Casa Milan, the next target of Barbara Berlusconi, the joint Milan CEO and Vice President, is building a new stadium and according to her, plans are in an advanced stage.
Suggestions have been made that Fly Emirates will sponsor this new red and black stadium and Lady B claims that there are many companies interested.
“The project for the new stadium is in an advanced state: we almost ready with the creation of the plastic model,” she told reporters. “My dream is to give the fans of Milan a new stadium by 2020. There are no financial problems with the stadium, as there are many companies interested in this project.
“We are awaiting a response in the first six months of 2015. Right now we are evaluating the area that will be fully functional for the needs of a club like ours. Even my father, who is very fond of San Siro, is enthusiastic about the project. In our project, however, it’s not the stadium that will be adapted to its location, but it’s the location that will be adapted to the stadium we have in mind.

“San Siro (which is going to host the 2016 UCL final and undergo some big changes)? I really like San Siro, which is a stadium that is strongly tied to us and it took me a year to convince my father of the new stadium project. At first he said he doesn’t want to talk about it but when I showed him the project he decided: ‘if you can do it, we’ll do it.’ My father knows how much he is needed in this new cycle.
“We already have many initiatives for the fans at San Siro, as seen on Sunday against Udinese when there was a whole section dedicated to families and children who gave us a big cheer for the whole match.
“Milan Lab? Milan Lab will be restructured. After giving important results in its first few years regarding the care of injuries, from 2011 it is also involved in the prevention of injuries and in this case it’s giving good answers. The novelty is that in April-May we will begin a commercial project regarding Milan Lab.”

Im glad to see some fresh air in this concrete club
Please make the stadium around 60,000, 50k seems too small
At least 50 k is still quite big, bigger than Juventus new stadium. But Milan stadium can always be retouched to enlarge the seaters.
