THE INTERNATIONAL break is coming up and 7 Milan players will be with their national teams.

After beating Chievo 2-0 yesterday at Stadio San Siro (first win after three games in which the Diavolo only collected two points), Milan will get some rest, but seven of their players will be on international duty with 4 different national teams.

Ignazio Abate was supposed to be in the Italy squad but needs some rest due to pain in his ankle. However, Mattia De Sciglio, Andrea Poli and summer signing Giacomo Bonaventura have been called up by coach Antonio Conte. Italy’s first Euro 2016 qualifier fixture is on the 10th of October in Palermo against Azerbaijan and the second on the 13th of October vs. Malta.

The Rossoneri’s midfielder Nigel De Jong has been called-up by Netherlands coach Guus Hiddink for the 10th of October match against Kazakhstan and the 13th of October match against Iceland. Colombia boss José Pékerman has called up center back Cristian Zapata and left wingback Pablo Armero for the friendly games against El Salvador & Canada on the 10th and 14th of October respectively.

Keisuke Honda and Japan will also be in action during the break as coach Javier Aguirre has decided to call him up for the friendly matches against Jamaica on October 10th and Brazil on October 14th. Milan’s next match is on the 19th of October.
