KEVIN CONSTANT is confident Milan have a good team and thinks this year could be Kevin-Prince Boateng’s year.
Not many expected Constant to play so much in his first season in red & black, but Massimiliano Allegri likes the player a lot and he let him play in 31 games last term. In most of those games, Constant – a natural midfielder – played as a LB.
Constant joined Milan on loan from Genoa last season but in January the Rossoneri decided to buy 50% of his card and so the 26-year-old will play for at least one more season at Milan and he believes that they can win the title now.

We can win the Scudetto, we are a good team. We are a very good team as we are, we are competitive and if more players arrive then all the better. Andrea Poli has really impressed me, I’m sure he’ll do well at Milan as will Bryan Cristante.
“We must overcome the preliminary rounds of the Champions League, then we need to start well in the league. I am ready to start all the matches, as is Mattia, but it is up to the coach to decide. If he plays then I will be right behind him to give him a hand. He is young but an excellent player. Last year I had to settle down and I worked on my defensive game seeing as I was playing in a new role. This season I hope to provide more assists. Being here has made me a better player tactically and also in defence because they made it clear to me that if I didn’t improve in how I defend then I was going to struggle.
“The toughest player I faced was Messi but I hope to play against him again. We are not afraid of anyone. We do not look at the other teams, we are concentrating on ourselves. If a big signing does arrive then all the better. I hope Boateng stays, I am sure this could be his year.” (Boa walked into the press room while Constant was speaking and asked him questions).
“We are Milan and we are not afraid of anyone. We have to get back to the top and be ready for anything,” he added. In a 3 days’ time, Milan and Constant will play a friendly game against Pergolettese and next week they’ll play the TIM Trophy.

Well, stating that we need Honda and one great defender to augment and strengthen the team, is one thing; but saying we won’t anything if those requirements aren’t filled, is just temerarious.
I do agree on what you’re saying, tho. Now when Strootman isn’t arriving, who was my ideal player for Milan, I’d say Honda and Astori would be enough.

Hi analyst: Your analisis is pretty poor. First of all you can’t simply sell all your players and replace them straightaway, remember this is real football we are talking about, not the Fantasy Manager you are playing on your PC. Furthermore, for something to sell you need to have potential buyer, which in this case is not easy as some of the players you mentioned it’s pretty hard to release them on free let alone selling them (Traore). The sad truth is that we may lose out in the champions league race next season. Seria A always have been very competitive and next season more than ever. Reserving the top spot for Juventus, we have Napoli (a very strong team) who simply have too much money and not afraid to spend it. Fiorentina who almost beat us to the third spot last season with the addition of Gomez and Rossi plus others and don’t forget about their biggest asset Montella. Nothing is wrong here, the money Milan have spent in the past are being re-paid now. It’s simple, you get a loan from your bank you live like a king for some time but eventually you have to tight up and pay the money you borrowed back. The money Milan spent in transfers and high salaries in the past are getting paid bak now. Simple as that. Plus you have the FFP that force you to balance your books

Yes as long as you are playing as the left back, Milan will only be able to replicate the results of last season or worse. I will never forget the way he played against Barcelona 2nd leg game and third goal was dully his fault. I simply don’t understand Allegri’s logic. I watched all Serie A games of Milan. The guy can hardly make a proper cross. Yes he had one or two strong games against poor quality serie A teams. Constant u are a great player, but too much hot headed. You gotta cool down, when the other players are doing stuff to you. Last season I saw you getting cards, and a red card just for arguing.
He’s a good back-up, but De Sciglio should without a single doubt be ahead of him in the pecking order. Abate on the right, De Sciglio on the left. Both for Milan and for Italy. Like I said, he can be a good back-up when necessary for Mattia – he is just too good. No disrespect to Constant though – he actually surprised me last season!

I really think we deserve some answers, the club is one of the ten richest in the world in terms of revenue and doesn’t spend close to the likes of Southampton and Norwich City. Berlusconi must be pocketing a large chunk of it.

De sciglio is the remplacement for abate he need to improve. Constant was one of my fav in the squad last season he did a good job although he is not milan quality but he is far better than emmanuelson next season he will be a bench warmer and is a good sub for mattia forza kevin forza milan

In my own opnion, I think constant was very helpful last season.. As we all saw, he was defensively inclined! Unlike Mattia who could hardly even cross th ball for th attackers to score. No condemnation, but milan still has work to do! No need to argue and batter words.. God bless Milan
