Report: Man City back out of El Shaarawy race

19

MANCHESTER CITY have made Isco their number one target; Milan will reportedly agree to sell just for at least €40m.

Stephan El Shaarawy is not off the market, as stated by Adriano Galliani last week, but it seems that one team has decided to stop chasing the Rossoneri star and turn their intentions elsewhere and this team appears to be Manchester City.

City were actually the first team to make their El Shaarawy interest known and were apparently set to make a €25 million plus Carlos Tevez bid for the 20-year-old but Manuel Pellegrini has different ideas and would like to focus on Malaga’s Isco.

According to today’s La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pellegrini wants the Spanish star in his team and that means that Man City are no longer interested, at least for now, in El Shaarawy. Isco, who will today play with Spain’s U21 side in the Euro 2013 final against Italy’s U21 team, has admitted recently that he has offers from The Citizens and Spanish giants Real Madrid.

There are other teams interested in the player, but Milan will only sell for at least €40 million according to the Milano-based newspaper. There have been talks that El Shaarawy could be on Paris Saint-Germain’s list but with coach Carlo Ancelotti reportedly set to leave this summer (to Real Madrid), Leonardo cannot move on the market until the new coach is chosen. Napoli also want the forward, but unless they get €63m for Edinson Cavani, they will not be able to meet Milan’s demands.

Meanwhile, the message coming out of Milan’s headquarters in the last days, reports Gazzetta, is that Milan will only move for Carlos Tevez if Robinho is sold. At the moment Milan have no offers for Robinho that match their asking price.

Shame on B&G. No one will buy SES. If they like they should not sign any player. Man city are not at tge mercy of Mikan this time to sell Tevez because if Milan don’t decide on time then Tevez will go to Juve. Ucl play date is looming and we are still undecided.

Once Napoli gets the money from Cavani’s sale, they will make a bid for SES, and if the money is right he would be sold.Galliani can’t be trusted. Berlu on the other hand is obviously unwilling to invest in the club, seeing as what We have been hearing for some seasons now is “A player would only come in if one leaves”. Now Juve are planning on making an official bid for Tevez, while We are still waiting for a sufficient offer for Robinho so the money would be used for buying Tevez. Apparently if We don’t sell a player… Read more »

Its been said that if an offer around the vicinity of €40m comes in for him, he’ll possibly be sold. I have 2 concerns over this: 1) El Shaarawy is pretty much a vital component to the youth project we “undergoing” and selling him will raise more than just a few eyebrows 2) If sold, will the funds generated be thrown back to the project of assembling a competitive team or just shoved down the wallets

Kingbuzza

When Galliani said for sale he means not for sale but if he says not for sale he means for sale. That reminds me of t.silva n ibrahimovic saga.

I don’t want SES to leave but if I was him I would leave milan, becz his place at milan should be more secure than any otha player as he got vital points making our beloved milan end 3rd place, everybody praising balo but if balo ddnt arrive SES would of stil carried milan on his back

I don’t think El Sharaawy will be sold because we don’t have enough money to buy top players who can give us goals. The money we will generate from sales of Boateng, Robinho and other players will most probably be used to buy Zaza, Kucka and defenders.

too bad that City won’t be givin us that 40 milion. now try to sell the boy to PSG and buy a quality midfielder. SES is not a great dribbler or passer and aften not too confident on the pitch. he s certainly a good player at 20, but 40 milion wont be too little for him, when Verratti who s got much more potentials is value at 25 milion and given there may be more Shaarawys in the market than Verrattis. dnt lose this kid for the second time Milan, Carlo may try to chase him for Madrid.. do… Read more »

damn… just got my SES jersey =/

but i still believe he isnt gonna be sold

Selling SES would be stupid. Just plain stupid. A 20 year old striker who had an excellent first season as a feature player in the Serie A. Why would we get rid of him?

I’m happy in a way that Man City pulled out of the race because it means the price won’t get driven up and management may be discouraged from selling.

Chudy

I dont mind if Milan sells SES..we ve enof cover for him..but if we didnt sack Allegri becos of the players and the project..why sell the bulk of the players in the project?

i m good @ nana fynn how s life in ghana??…..according to reports boateng is heading to monaco…..what do u guys think abt that>>…………forza milan

As long as Balotelli is a Milan player, let Galliani do whatever he wants with the forwards. FORZA MILAN!

SES should not be sold. And I am also sure, even if he is sold, the money gained would not be used in any transfer like thiago silva’s. So why not keep him. If KPB leaves for Monaco, any other big name in that attacking midfielder position would be very costly. So I suggest KPB’s money to be used to buy tevez and a good defender, and use SES in the trequerista position. I believe he would be able to adapt to that position pretty well. he has good passing skills, intelligence, movement and remember his goals against udinese and Napoli. he can score from distance.
