Report: Milan set €18 million price tag for Boateng

KEVIN-PRINCE BOATENG’S agent will soon meet with Jose Mourinho as Boa seems to be closer to a Milan exit.

Boateng has reportedly asked to leave Milan, sending his agent on Friday to talk with Milan director of sport Ariedo Braida and tell him about the desire to end his Rossoneri experience after three years in which Boa played a key part for Milan.

Boateng had two very decent years at Milan but was far from convincing in the 2012/2013 season and failed to impress. Nonetheless, it’s believed that he has asked for a new contract and pay rise (€4m a year) but Milan won’t give him that.

Bologna ask €10m for Diamanti, Milan discuss Kucka with Genoa

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Boateng’s agent Roger Wittmann was in London yesterday to talk with Chelsea about Boateng. The English side is believed to be interested in the services of the former Ghana international and in the next days Wittmann will fly to Portugal in order to talk with Mourinho, the new Chelsea coach, about the 26-year-old midfielder.

Gazzetta reports that Milan’s asking price for Boateng is €18 million. A high figure as Milan value the player. The final word will most likely be the one of Mourinho, who has already made a sensational offer for Edinson Cavani of Napoli. Boa could face limited playing time with if he stays with Andrea Poli coming to complete the midfield and with Adriano Galliani admitting Milan will look to sign a trequartista for next year’s 4-3-1-2, a role in which Boa played in his first two seasons.

If Boateng is sold then the candidate to replace him is Bologna’s Alessandro Diamanti who has a value of €10m despite his age (30). Galliani has admitted players coming in will be depended on players going out and said he likes Diamanti.

wow

BELHANDA…..perfect replacement

milanista@malaysia

if we analysed his performance this season..yes he is right to leave…furthermore he was racially abused in Italy and he seems can’t bear it plus his performances for Milan this season was disappointing..the only remarkable thing he did was the goal against barcelona…but we have many candidates to replace him
1.Kevin Strootman
2.Radja Nainggolan
3.Juraj Kucka
4.Andrea Poli

i hope Milan can buy Adam Maher the Dutch Juan Mata..My dream formation..i repeat dream formation is:

———————Perin————————–
—Abate—–Zapata———–Mexes—-De Sciglio—
————-Strootman—–Montolivo—————-
—–Saponara———Maher————El Shaarawy–
——————–Balotelli———————–

I don’t mind that much if boateng leaves, but say we replace him with diamanti is absurd. And to the fact that SES might leave is even more ridiculouse, Galliani is slowly killing this team, it started with pirlo, and it’s SES, and once again I ask, where is the curva sud now when all this madness is happening? they said they were protecting the project.

Pa ibra

galliani said we did sale before buying… but honestly I never knew he meant salling Boa and SES before buying diamanti. seriously diamanti? 30yrs, no skills and 10 milion is gone

wcsg

No skills, really. You have clearly never seen him play. He is the kind of player Milan need, and have not had since Ronaldinho. Somebody to take corners and freekicks, also a midfielder who can actually pass.

N3R0

What’s with you guys and Pirlo? Stop bringing him up. Pirlo is the one who wanted to leave Milan since he never liked them in the first place. Don’t bring Galliani or Allegri for that one.

israel

Y is no body givin our 3rd choice keeper a chance…i mean GABRIEL,dat guy myt b d next DIDA,let milan promote im 2 our 2nd choice nxt season…

inzywong

have you seen the video of allegri vs gabriel?? he’s useless. check it out.

N3R0

Allegri was taking low shots.. Those are pretty hard to stop for a GK. That’s why in games they have walls

mourinho said in an interview about boateng move to chelsea…“ Boateng to Chelsea? We want footballers, not models. Last year he had more haircuts than goals scored,” he said.

Siro

Thats exactly my tots! He should leave asap!

isah mohd haske

leave baoteng to chealse and buy honda

Nyemasem

I think its time milan is sold to people who are serious. This team is becoming a division three team. For christ sake, why are they playing with our emotions.#VISIONLESS#

pippo

Main problem with this guy is this: he lacks in VISION, CREATIVITY and PASSING to be good terquartista. But also, even though he is strong like a bull, and can run for miles, his mentality is so much oriented towards forward so he can’t be used as a CM or a DM. It’s really hard to find suitable place in squad for him.

ali milano

I think it’s better if he does leave. if he does then Allegri will probably want to play him as trequartista. I think we should get a real traquarista, who preferably has some experience. That way we’ll have 2, him and Saponara.
And I think the number 10 jersey should be given to Saponara.

Chudy

Except for d wage increase..Boa has always proved himself in the Milan shirt..he was played out of position last term.. and how come all the best teams want our players if their talent is so mediocre?

Food for thot gentlemen

del saroj

go boa go
we should buy hernanes

partigiano_milan

I really dont understand this diamanti story… hope its just a rumor or a distraction manouver to land a coup…he is 30 and not even a starter for italy…does anyone know how much the transfer budget is,apart from the possible sales?

natti

Belhanda Honda and Astori :)

partigiano_milan

by the way: martins indi, adam maher, clasie, siem de jong, eriksen, strootman, honda!,thiago alcantara, belhanda are on my list;) and especially now that carlo probably goes to real, we have to do everything to bring verratti!

nick

I hope Boateng leaves Milan but I am worried that Milan will take the cheap way out to find a replacement.

Belhanda would be the best replacement but I would still hope we get Diamanti, Poli and Cerci as they are quality players.

BUT Milan must get Belhanda.

OUT: Boateng, Robinho, Niang-loan, Ambrosini, Nocerino, Traore,De Jong and Amelia.

In: Belhanda, Diamanti, Cerci, Poli, Strootman and Consigli.

Milanista121

I’ve been a big fan of Boateng, but also of Diamanti, Diamanti is a real fighter both on and off the pitch, just look Diamanti’s journey, from Serie C to the Italian national team, that shows a huge amount of mental strength. If we can get around 15-18 million from Boateng’s sale, then I’m all for it, even though I like him.

feedryz

Milan is not serious just dey talk nonesence about transfer

Lieutenant Colonel Nana-Fynn

@nick did u say milan should show de-jong the door?u cant be serious.

nick

Yeah, I am serious. De jong cannot make a good pass to save his life. Muntari and Flamini are better at completing passes.

Even though this is not a strength of Muntari he still completes more passes than De jong. Milan plays better without De jong. Trust me, the statistics don’t lie!

We can get rid of De Jong and get Strootman who has a higher percentage of completed passes and he is excellent defensively!

Milan fan

Sell him as soon as possible !

Jhayboss

Diamanti? you gotta be kidding Me.. We are in for nightmares of transfer. So we’d better brace ourselves.

M Milan

Bring Kaka back to help El Sharrawy n Saponara learn d trequartista role better. Learn from d best!!!! If Boateng n Robinho leave, thats close to 30m there n bring in Santon, Astori, Nainggolan n Kaka for around 45m. Use 4-3-2-1 or 4-3-1-2.

Milanista121

What do you guys think of Jerome Boateng?
According to Bild, Bayern are preparing a bid for Prince – 5 million euros + J. Boateng.
I think it’s a pretty good deal…?

Andry

KPB will be an eternal bench warmer if he leave Milan for Chelsea.. And i dont mind if Boateng leaves.. in the last 3 years, he will miss almost half of the total matches per season..

sola

Yes, we’re taalking about youth, but we need to mix experience with youth just as alex ferguson does, diamanti is rilly a gud player, if pirlo can still drive juve to the title then nobody knws…

Abongile

The midfielder will finally get the chance to make it big… Milan have been linked with a January cut-price move for CSKA Moscow’s midfielder Keisuke Honda. Ghanaian star Kevin-Prince Boateng, who has already attracted the interest of new power-brokers Monaco, has repeatedly expressed desire to leave Italy due to racial abuse. Honda might be just what Milan need to replace the 26-year-old hitman. The Italian side came very close to signing Honda back in 2010, but he eventually decided to stay in Russia. Few Premier League clubs and couple Italians, such as Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton, Fiorentina, Lazio, have also been geared up for… Read more »

Traditionally Milan dont hold players against their wish to leave. €18 m for Boateng is good price and i suspect the departures of Ibra & Thiago really unsettled him and therefore affected his performance ds season. I hope Galliani will fully reinvest the whole money on say Fabregas or Ericksen.

Z

Use this and Robinho money for ljajic and strootman!
