Ronaldinho: I Want To Be Like Maldini

RONALDINHO has revealed that he aims to be like the Rossoneri legend Paolo Maldini and play up 40 and maybe more, as he wants to lead the club to highs they never knew.

The Brazilian is close of reaching his best form, as he performs very good football in the attack in the recent games of AC Milan.

The man is new despite claims he hasn’t changed, but he is now playing very well, as he wants to be a legend at Milan, and reach everything with them.

“I always feel the same, even though a lot of things have happened over the past three years,” Ronaldinho told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I have not changed. I just have more experience. The difference is that I am now playing and I am lucky enough to play for a winning team. It was difficult to sit on the bench. I am only happy when I am able to do what I love the most and that is playing football.

“I am enjoying myself. I like this Milan. We can play attacking football with this kind of players. And we are friends, on top of being team-mates. It’s a family and Milanello feels like home,” added the Brazilian star.

Milan looked in the junks in the pre-season this summer. Played awfully and lost almost every match. The absence of Kaka, Carlo Ancelotti and Paolo Maldini was seen, but it seems like it’s behind them now.

“I want to be like [Paolo] Maldini,” he continued. “I want to play until I am 40 and maybe more. With Milan? Why not?

The gap from Inter is big, 8-point separate between the Milano teams. Inter are clearly the favorites to win the Serie A title also this year, but ‘Dinho thinks that everything can happen.

“We are doing well now and have regained our self-confidence. Can we challenge Inter for the title? It’s difficult, but anything can happen. And if we do well this season, this team can make Milan’s history books.”
