ROBERTO MANCINI believes that with Carlos Tevez, Milan may have the best attack in the world.
Milan have made it very clear that they have one target in this January transfer market: Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez. The Rossoneri have already made a bid but they refuse to accept the English club’s terms.
Adriano Galliani wants to loan the player and have an option to sign him for a fixed price, around €24 million it is believed, but City have made it clear that they want to sell the player as soon as possible.

“If Milan will buy Tevez, they will surely make a big deal and maybe even win the league title because the Argentine striker is absolutely an excellent player,” stated Man City Manager Roberto Mancini. “Ibra, Alexandre Pato, Tevez, they are waiting for Cassano… Maybe Milan will have the best attack in the world.”
Milan will meet Manchester City’s leaders again this month: the original plan was to have Tevez already in Dubai, but that of course did not happen. Tevez remains Milan’s first option and Milan remain his.
We will find out tomorrow or the day after who we are going to sign according to Raiola.

pros : best strong attack, Seria A will be ours and we can focus on the champions league
cons: not enough playtime and one forward decides to leave. meaning here Pato and doesn’t sound great.

I’m sorry but this is based on what? Pato has scored less than Robinho this season (Robinho has probably the worst finishing among Milan forwards). A couple of years ago, I would have agreed with you, but now we need to be realistic.

IMO, Pato needs a new challenge. I think he got way to comfortable in Milan. I think he needs a new environment to challenge himself to become the best. I’m afraid that Milan is too comfortable and easy for him right now. If I was the coach, even El Shawaary was starting ahead of pato… No offense to the Pato fans.

I don’t believe pato is inconsistent the only thing that hinders him is injures. If he overcomes injury problems he is going to be one of the best strikers around…his goal scoring ratio is very good its just injures…I would not sell him certainly not in January…[email protected] Teves comes i think it will be enough challenge right there to make him work for his spot….

I would expect Mancini to say something like this for no other reason then to get Tevez off his hands. It makes sense to talk him up and any potential attack with him in order to drive the price up. I believe that money could be better spent elsewhere. We have Ibra, Pato, Robinho, El-Shaarawy, and a returning Cassano for the attack. However, that attack doesn’t work without midfielders capable of getting them the ball in the right positions. I like Robinho and Boaten in that position for now, but it seems like both could be better on the flanks… Read more »
