PAULO HENRIQUE GANSO has revealed that he intends to sign a contract extension with Santos.
Ganso has already said that he would play in Italy next season but today, speaking to the radio Globo he revealed that his plans are to stay in Brazil.
“I’ve never been dissatisfied. I just wanted to renew my contract and improve my working conditions,” he said. “Santos will always be in my heart and I’m going to stay here for two years or more.”

Now he’s be able to play regularly so we can see if he has recovered. If he’s not the same as he was and gets injured a lot don’t get him. If he is always playing without getting injured and is a star, obviously get him.

Maby we can get him during Jan transfer after he fully recover. Seems like he wants to renew only so that his price tag will be higher. Lamela isn’t as fast as Messi, but he’s a very technical player. He’s not as fast as Ganso either. But what do you go for? Technical skill or speed? He’s still a pretty fast player, but again… he’s better than Ganso in the regard of his skill… yet he’s younger. So he has a lot more potential. And he’s not injury prone either. And Giuseppe Rossi is a second striker, not an attacking midfielder. We have too many second strikers.

Wow, Lamela isn’t an AM. He is a point man, a striker. He doesn’t play as CAM for River Plate. The whole Messi comparison has everyone thinking he’s a midfield man … he is not.
Lamela is not a resolution to the midfiled-attack link/ creativity problems.
That being said, he’s be a good project to develop into a second striker … years away from Serie A starting quality though, everyone is so far ahead of themselves now.

Pastore is older then he is, but I think Lamela has greater potential. Lamela couldn’t be any further from a striker. He plays from a deeper position. All the scouts have said this… Lamela is a midfielder… in the mold of Riquelme.
