AC MILAN have spoken with Real Madrid over Lassana Diarra, according to TMW.
Tuttomercatoweb claims that AC Milan directors met Real Madrid’s chiefs to speak over Lass, as Milan are looking for a defensive midfielder, who is not 30 yet.
The 25-year-old French is not part of Jose Mourinho’s plans – he played only four La Liga games so far, and was not even included in the squad to face Milan in the Champions League.

The former Chelsea man has a contract until 2013, but it seems that his days are numbered as he can’t break into Mou’s line-up, with Sami Khedira and Xabi Alonso coming ahead of him in the pecking order.
Lass has also Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham interested in him. Milan have apparently started the talks, but it’s too early to say anything.

First sensible step towards stability in the midfield. Doesn’t matter who we buy Allegri will still insist with this crap 4-3-3 and continue playing Gattuso, Seedorf, Ambrosini and Pirlo. He doesn’t understand that we can not play with a 3 man midfield, yet he continues to use it. Allegri needs to go first before any players come in.

Noooooo. Please. Just no. He’s VERY VERY overrated. Madrid’s defensive fault was this guy. No covering for side backs whatsoever. If we get him, get ready for teams to score goals on us. Mou knew this and instantly looked to buy other defensive midfielders.
There are a lot better defensive midfielders out there, cheaper ones too. Anyways, remember we still have Strasser waiting to be played.

Does anybody else see Ibra as a problem? The man is always out of position. He doesn’t play CF. The reason Milan plays better with Pippo is because he plays high up and makes runs. Ibra moves back for the ball which makes the playmaker’s role useless and doesn’t allow anyone else the chance on goal because the defence pushes up. Personally, I think that Ibra makes the offense stagnant and he usually starts the counter for the other team. Allegri apparently wasn’t joking when he said the team has to play for Ibra. @DonBibo Yeah, I agree. Ibra is no center forward, and people mistaken him for one. He plays the same position as Pato, a second striker. And for Seedorf vs Dinho They both slow the play down. They both make good passes, Dinho a bit better. But Seedorf doesn’t skip out on his defensive duties, and that is why he plays Seedorf in the last minutes of a game. the management have alot of work to do. this is wat i think, (1) they have to get ride of allegri. cuz he is incompetent get us rakard or harry redna. Milan always looking at other players when they should be taking advantage of the young players they have. Lass is a good player but milan should be using Strasser his ball ability and strenght can match anyone out there. I have seen this guy played and they should be using him like how real madrid was using makelele. sitting in front of the defenders and playing Pirlo and Boetang or gatusso
First of all i want to state that Rijkard would be a much better coach than Allegri. Moving on i think that in January getting Lass would really shore up our midfield and help us in big games while we should also go for at least one if not two fullbacks. Then after all that a center back

Point 1 – I agree with Nick. Diarra should arrive and play alongside Flamini. Personally my midfield three would be Diarra, Flamini and Boateng. The modern game relies on pace and stamina. Ambro, Seedorf, Gattusso and Pirlo to a lesser extent no longer have this, and the time has come when their skill does not make up for their lack of mobility. Lass is exatcly what milan needs (exept for a good fullback to cover nesta and silva). he is a better gattuso, infact Gattuso dont stand a chance against lass ! I hope Milan will buy lass insted of Kaka if they get a uppertonity!

Lass Diara is probably a solution for Milan, but I prefer to test the players that we already have and try some different team formations. Papa maybe cannot replace Nesta as CB, so why doesn’t Allegri test him as DM? If Papa is not ready as a single DM, i think Allegri could try 4-4-2. Besides that, Milan also has Strasser, Merkel and Montelongo.

Does everyone remember the first game of this year? Borriello played terrible but he didn’t stand still which allowed Ronaldinho and Pato to rip the defence appart. The problem is not Ronnie or Pato. The CF doesn’t have to score every game or have the tactics based for him. But when he doesn’t move or moves backward, the defence moves up and the mids move back and press and that’s why Pato and Ronaldinho can’t do much nor can anyone else.
