Mattia Caldara returned to the pitch today and played the first half in Milan Primavera’s 2-1 win.

Caldara returned to training earlier this month after recovering from his ACL injury, which kept him out since May.

Today (Saturday), the center back got back to playing fields. He was included in the starting XI of Federico Giunti for the game of the Primavera against Cremonese.

Milan are competing the 2nd division of the Primavera after getting relegated, and today they managed to get three important points.

In fact, Cremonese got the lead first and as reported by Milannews.it, Caldara was at fault as his bad back-pass allowed Bertazzoli to get into a 1v1 situation against goalkeeper Matteo Soncin and score against him in the 36′ minute of the first half. The 25-year-old was subbed out on half time.

In the second half, the Diavolo managed to overturn the result with Lorenzo Colombo scoring a brace: in the 48′ minute, a solo action by Colombo earned him a 1v1 against the Cremonese goalkeeper, which he took advantage of; and in the 65′ minute, Marco Brescianini, who scored a hat-trick in the training match between the Primavera and the first team last week, gave an assist to Colombo.

“How do I rate Caldara’s 45 minutes after so many months out? I think they were positive for him because, in any case, it’s a real game and not a training session. There was an opponent who puts you in difficulty and I think it was a good thing for him. When they ask us to use someone from the first team that needs playing time then we’ll do it, we are at their complete disposal,” coach Giunti told Milannews.it at the end of the game.

The Primavera now have 11 points after 5 games and are sitting in 2nd place. As for Caldara, he will continue to work to get back to the levels that made him one of the best defenders in Italy.

So Caldara was guilty of the only goal that a second tier primavera team scored? And we traded Bonucci for this guy. But we got Higuain too LMAO. Is Milan run by Interistas?
