Antoine Arnault has denied the rumours that his family has any thought about buying Milan from Elliott.
La Repubblica suggested this morning that Elliott are in talks with the Arnault family over the sale of Milan for €960m, citing that this is the new asking price after €1.2bn was originally demanded.
The newspaper even claimed that the sale could be completed before the end of 2019 and that the Arnault, who own LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton SE, want Massimiliano Allegri as coach.
However, Antoine Arnault, the son of Bernard Arnault (who has a net worth of $95.3 billion), went on Instagram on Saturday afternoon to deny everything:
“Dear Milan fans. I want to write this message to put an end to all rumors concerning the interest of my family, or the LVMH group, into buying the Milan,” he wrote. “We have the utmost respect for your beautiful club, its values, its fantastic history, but have never been in contact with anyone from the club, and have never been interested in investing or acquiring it.
“We do not know where this strong rumor has come from, but it has no foundations whatsoever. We wish all the best to the Milan this season and the next ones. Thank you.”

Disappointing news. We need someone rich to buy Milan. I recently read that the reason Allegri turned down a move to Milan was because he was asking for a 10m salary per year.
Top coaches won’t come cheap. Conte salary is 11m and look at inter results so far.
Pep Guardiola – 15m per year.
Klopp – 11m per year.
Mourinho- 13m per year
Conte – 11m per year
These guys bring results. If we want cheap coaches then we will always be mid table. We have invest in a top coach and quality players. Smh
Its to late now, we had our chance to get Conti even before Inter considered him, same with Sarri who is not as good as the 4above but he is still a top coach. Lastly Mourinho was an option but people didnt wanted his deffencive style, even that at the moment we need results more than style.
All this time we are just rolling the dice and hope we will somehow find the new Pep or Klopp in new rookie coaches instead of investing in the real deal.
Elliot are uber-rich, but we’re constrained by the limitations of FFP
bad news at all we need arab envestment
That’s sad. I would totally rock AC Milan LV gear. Even though these players are already rich, its always nice to be able to rock LV everyday and drink Moet every night ;)
