Report: G. Gomez to Palmeiras could be closed tomorrow, formula expected to be a paid loan with obligation to buy

Gustavo Gomez may actually leave this time, as a deal with Palmeiras seems to be on the horizon.

However, according to Sky’s Gianluca Di Marzio this evening, Gomez and Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras are getting closer and closer, and Tuesday can be the decisive day to close the operation.

Negotiations are at an advanced stage and the likely formula is a paid loan (€1.5m) with an obligation to buy (for €4.5-5m) which is linked to the number of appearances of the center back at the Brazilian club. Gomez is in Milano with the intermediaries Marcelo Simonian and Martín Guastadisegno, while his agent, Augusto Paraja, is in Sao Paulo to define the operation.

Gustavo Gomez joined the Rossoneri in 2016 from Lanus but the Paraguayan never really managed to convince his coaches to trust him with a starting role. Last season he played just 2 matches.
