Milan learned their list of games today: they start against Genoa at San Siro, but have to face Napoli and Roma right after that, the season ends away at SPAL.
The draw for the 2018/19 Serie A season, which will start on the 19th of August, took place today (Thursday) and Milan (as well as all the other teams) got their list of games for the upcoming year.
Gennaro Gattuso and his boys start the season at Stadio San Siro against Genoa. On Matchday 2, however, they play Carlo Ancelotti’s Napoli at the San Paolo, before hosting Roma on Matchday 3.
The Derby della Madonnina is scheduled for Matchday 9, and it will be Inter who host the first one. On Matchday 12, the Rossoneri play Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus at home. A week later, Milan have to play Lazio away. The season ends away from home against SPAL.

Milan legend and icon Franco Baresi, who represented the Rossoneri at the gala event where the calendar was announced, told Milannews.it: “Sooner or later we have to face all of them, but the start is really important and challenging, and I’m sure that we will arrive in the best conditions.
“Seasonal goals? With the new ownership there is enthusiasm and we want to go back up, we think we can improve but Milan must always think big and be the protagonist. The return of Leonardo? Not only him, but the whole project that has arrived has brought the desire to do well, together we will have important serenity for the club’s future. Leonardo Bonucci’s situation? I can’t talk about it.”
Speaking to Sky, the eternal #6 added: “It’s a challenging start, Genoa, then Napoli and Roma. It will be useful to prepare well, but our coach will surely lead the team to great conditions. The derby? It will be a good one, Inter made a good mercato with quality people, they have strengthened a lot, but we hope to get ready. Marking CR7? That date will be marked in the calendar because everyone wants to face him, San Siro will be full. Tips to stop Ronaldo? Fortunately I’m retired [laughs].”
In other calendar news, the Europa League Group Stage matches will be played on September 20, October 4, October 25, November 8, November 29 and December 13.

Must we have difficult fixtures but I believe in our boys
Oh what a line up for the boys, nevertheless it will end up being positive.
Tight start but a convincing win against Genoa will help the team with more courage facing Napoli and Roma. Looking forward to this. Forza Milan babe!
We must tell ourselves the bitter truth if we want something good and better this season Milan must buy a big well-known striker and attacking midfielder who have big heart and great vision towards scoring and creating goals. The likes of Kalinic and crut can’t get us to the top or take us to champions league neither will the a midfield of Locatelli and kc can do greater We should make beating the top clubs in seria A our priority instead of planning to squeeze through to the Europa We need a striker who opponent defenders will be scared of,… Read more »
Looking at the roaster, I really don’t fear any team. Milan always play well against even Juventus only to play a beautiful game a eventually loose the match, given the performance we display against Juve, Napoli, Inter, Roma, we just tire out mentally in the end then go further to drop points against Benevento and co.
Champions League qualification is achievable even with this current squad, they just need to be though mentally.
That’s not to say we don’t need quality signings by the way.
Right on bro. Need a cpl quality players from the window tho. League will be tougher this year.
In the past couple of seasons I’ve seen that milan can compete with the bigger teams unless Juventus we always seem to dominate and blow it around the 75th minute. But it’s the small teams I worry about. The amount of points we’ve dropped to small teams is crazy. Benevento for example. Those are games where u need a prolific scorer because they will get u the goals something we couldn’t do when small teams locked down defence.
We have a tough start to the league but it could also show what we come out to do this year. Hope we have a great season. Other news, milan have come out and said they like higuain and a juve offered a straight swap for Bonucci and higuain. What I don’t understand is that bonucci rated at 40m, higuain at 60m. So you’ll do a straight swap for him but not caldara who’s cheaper than all. I know people don’t like higuain here and he isn’t my first choice but if he comes here I’m happy. His stats alone… Read more »
Rino deserves this. I don’t know why people seem to think he is technically deficient. He arrived mid-season with the team in crisis. The club went through the whole pre season with 4-3-3, it wasn’t as if there was a lot of room for Rino to experiment there. I’d rather we wait till at least the winter break to judge him. Yes he did give Bonucci an unfair amount of undeserved playing time especially at the cost of Musa but then again, it was the upper management that made Leo bigger than the club & Romagnoli was pretty much undroppable… Read more »
