CESARE PRANDELLI lost on his Italy debut.
New Italy boss had his first-ever Italy match last night against Ivory Coast, but he failed to make a winning side within four days.
Prandelli lined-up 4-2-3-1 as expected, with Sampdoria’s Antonio Cassano, Manchester City target Inter’s Mario Balotelli and Juvnetus’ Simone Pepe behind Juve’s Amauri.

Boateng to Milan: Not before next week
Balotelli impressed on his debut as he succeeded to make few shots. Despite the Azzurri created some chances they couldn’t score and when you don’t score, you concede.
In the 54′ minute into the second half, the Ivorians took the lead through Manchester City’s Kolo Toure. The center back headed the past Palermo’s Salvatore Sirigu who replaced the injured Federico Marchetti of Cagliari.
AC Milan’s Marco Borriello came on from the bench in the 59 ‘minute and had one shot. The Rossoneri’s left-back Luca Antonini saw Stuttgart’s Cristian Molinaro playing well and didn’t play at all.
Despite the loss, you could that this Italy was stronger than the Italy we saw on the World Cup. Plus, key players like Andrea Pirlo and Alberto Gilardino are still missing.
