ANOTHER Italian team finish in the last place.

Still no victory in the era of Massimiliano Allegri. After the defeat to A.S. Varese, the Rossoneri went to London, England for the Emirates Cup.

The first game of the tournament between Celtic and Lyon ended in 2-2 draw and thanks to the rules of this tournament, each team had three points as teams are granted one extra point for each goal.

The next match later on Saturday was between Arsenal and AC Milan. Marouane Chamakh opened the scoring, but Alexandre Pato’s header held the Gunners. Each side had 2 points after this game.

The second day of the tournament started with AC Milan versus Lyon. Marco Borriello scored but late Jimmy Briand goal made it a tie. At this point, Lyon had five points and Milan had four.

Arsenal later met Celtic and the match ended in 3-2 to the English side. The Gunners finished the tournament with 8 points and the Scottish side finished with five points.

This is the table of the Emirates Cup – after Juventus in 2007 and Inter in 2008, Milan finish last in 2010:

AC Milan involved many young players in the tournament, as Rodney Strasser, Alexander Merkel and Simone Verdi starred for il Diavolo. Still no win, but many good points were seen here ahead of the new season.

Even though we finished last, I was pleased with the overall team performances considering we’re only just over a week into our pre season. I’m very impressed with Mister Allegri and the young players he’s introduced. Looking forward to the new campaign with great optimism.FORZA MILAN for ever

Didn’t Milan play a game less? Milan didn’t play Celtic, Lyon and Arsenal played an extra game.
