Gomez is apparently the new target of Milan for the defense and they are trying to sign him on loan with a clause.

Talks to bring Mateo Musacchio broke off yesterday as Milan don’t have the cash to meet Villarreal’s asking price and Villarreal are not willing to accept a loan + option to buy offer. And so Galliani has found a target the Rossoneri can afford.

According to Sky Italia and La Repubblica, Milan are in talks to sign Gustavo Gomez from Lanús. The 23-year-old center back is also wanted by Fiorentina and Besiktas who had a $6m bid for him rejected by the Argentine club.

La Repubblica goes as far as saying that Milan already have a deal for the Paraguayan, beating the Viola, and he will arrive in the next days to sign the contract. Sky, while not reporting it as a done year, are suggesting that the Rossoneri are looking to get him on loan with an option to buy which will become obligatory after a certain number of appearances for $8 million (about €7 million).

Gomez has a EU passport so he will not count as a non-EU player. After failing to get their main target, Milan are going after a cheaper option in hope to find a partner for Alessio Romagnoli.

Comment: look at what Berlusconi have intended about his so claimed beloved Milan. What is he trying to take us for? A business venture without future?.. oh no! don’t wanna cart on players but prefer to earn and enjoy from season’s ticket sales.
