Sinisa Mihajlovic believes Milan gave away two easy goals against Frosinone but is happy to end 2015 with a win.
2015 was a very difficult year for Milan as they finished last term in 10th place, fired another club and the new one has so far failed to meet the third-place expectation.
However, the Rossoneri finished the calendar year with a smile as they defeated Frosinone 4-2 away from home thanks to goals from Ignazio Abate, Carlos Bacca, Alex and Giacomo Bonaventura.
“This is a win that we fully deserved. We had a chance to break the deadlock right away, but even after going a goal down, we dominated and created chances,” coach Mihajlovic said.
“At the break, I told the players to stay calm and keep playing the way we were and that by doing that we would eventually win. The lads did well and never stopped believing. We won and that is what matters.
“I think we just needed to be more patient with our approach and keep the ball until we found a way through. We were too hurried at times in the first half. Once we found the equalizer though it was all over from there. We gave away two goals that could have been avoided but let’s look at the positive side. With hard work and getting players back from injury, there is plenty of room for improvement.
“If we keep this up, we can climb back up the table. Frosinone are a different side at home and we knew it was going to be hard. I liked the attitude my team showed. After the Napoli loss, we picked up only positive results with the exception of the defeat at Juventus. We have to keep this going and never give in.
“We are a close group and everyone is working hard for each other. There is a great team spirit and only by winning will we silence the critics. Honda? He doesn’t have any need to worry. If he plays like he did against Frosinone, he will always play. Bonaventura has been one of the best players up until now.
“Bonaventura was in doubt right until the last minute, but the club’s medical staff did a good job and so did he by getting on the score-sheet.” Milan are now off to the Xmas break and the mercato starts…
Just please buy some top players plssssss, I really bored to death we need to back to CL.
“AC Milan’s like a packed nightclub — in order for someone to get in, someone has to leave.”

…Did somebody say easy win
It could have just been by chance for one game, but Honda and abate seem to compliment each other much better than cerci and abate. I think Honda drifting into the middle of the pitch gives more space to abate out wide rather than cerci and abate occupying the same space on the wing and getting in each other’s way. They sequence of abates goal is an example, abate had acres of space out on the wing to run into because the defenders were marking Honda in the middle who assisted the goal. Which makes me wonder, Honda used to… Read more »
Last season he was combining pretty well with Abate, too.
I wish we had a player like FLorenzi. He helps all around at Roma on the right flank
Nice performance.i think honda should stay.
honda should stay? everyone keeps forgetting how badly he played in the last two years?
He maybe had a good preformance in the last match, but to be fair all of the milan played well (cheer leader effect).
why we keep playing him and cerci is beyond me.
Comment:The problem with Milan is Berlusconi ND Galliani more especially that old man Galliani. Pls go
