LEONARDO has been selected as the best rookie coach in the Serie A and in the Serie B.

The Brazilian coach resigned from Milan after one year and despite lack of investment and old squad, Leonardo managed to lead Milan to the third place, which takes them straight to the CL.

The Coaches’ Association was impressed by the 40-year-old and it decided to grant him the Premio Torrazzo award, which is given for the best freshman coach in both Serie A and Serie B.

Alves ‘ready for Milan’
Marchetti is ‘not thinking about Milan’

Last year’s winner was Cagliari Coach Massimiliano Allegri who is likely to take over AC Milan next season.

The first to take the trophy was Giovanni Vavassori back in 2001.
