Report: Manchester City prepare €40 million El Shaarawy bid

75

STEPHAN EL SHAARAWY has again attracted the interest of the billionaires and they’re reportedly set to offer €40m.

Milan managed to break even in 2012 following the sales of Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Paris Saint-Germain for roughly €62 mil and it seems that this summer there could be market opportunities to make a similar amount of money.

Robinho and Kevin-Prince Boateng look set for a Milan exit with both of them requesting their exits (Robinho in January, Boateng reportedly yesterday through his agent) and the money Milan could make from their sales around €20m to €25m.

Bologna ask €10m for Diamanti, Milan discuss Kucka with Genoa
Boateng asks to leave Milan, Chelsea show interest

It seems, however, that the real money could arrive from Manchester City. According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the English club are ready to make an offer in the region of €40 million for Milan star Stephan El Shaarawy. Milan have previously rejected a bid from Napoli for il Faraone which was €30 million but could be considering the Man City bid.

The El Shaarawy story (screenshot from La Gazzetta dello Sport)

Manchester City, who still don’t have a coach for next season, came forward for El Shaarawy in January but Milan said no and El Shaarawy expressed his desire to stay at Milan forever and become a symbol of the club. El Shaarawy failed to score in the second half of the 2012/2013 season and hasn’t found the net in 104 days, since the Derby della Madonnina. El Shaa was very poor – as were almost the entire Italian team – against Czech Republic last night and has been rated 4.5.

Roughly €60-65 million from the hypothetical sales of Robinho, Boateng and El Shaarawy would allow the Rossoneri to strengthen the squad (which will consist of 25 players) significantly, especially now that the books are balanced.

forza milan

pls dont sell him, the money is good but we need him more

Боко

No doubt REJECTED !!!! They said he is our future and will be something like maldini . Don’t do that again to us . We want strong players with bright future. Mr Berlusconi don’t say that you have so expensive prostitutes which will force out SES ! FORZA MILAN

Sherbini

Never think about it !

Coins3

Milan will be stupid if they sell El Shaarawy

slowdorf 1899

Not forsale even for 100 million euros. Keep him pls he is what we count to be milan. sell them Allegri.

Nyemasem

Belu will never reject such amount. Good bye Stephan. Thank u B&G for making milan so cheap.

Cyborg

This is going to be interesting, so far I’m not impressed by Galliani’s work, and I have a feeling it’s about to be even more depressing. I wouldn’t let go of SES even for a 100m. Like I said Galliani should stop handling the transfers, it’s because of him and his buddy allegri that our mf is filled with wrestlers not footballers. It’s going to be some time before we see milan back to the top. And why on earth are we pursuing diamanti, he’s 30years old and expensive, we had a perfactly affordable, creative, young md in bojan and… Read more »

I could somehow see the logic in selling ibra and silva, but if they sell el shaarawy i will never forgive berlu and galliani!!!!!!

lawcee

God will punish man city with their bid.

Habeeb

Amen bro

GalileeBlue

Oh no!what ever shall we do!!!

Ted

Goodbye Faraone i hope to see u in Milan again someday

RKaY

I never understood selling the future of your club, SES is one of the players we need to build around. Even considering his sale would be foolish

El Greco

Everybody has a price. However if City spent 40m for some 28 year old Fernandinho from Shakthar, they should offer at least 80m for SES. At this price i’d probably sell him and buy 5-6 top-class players, which we actually need.

Forza Milan!!

Cyborg

where’s the curva sud now? I thought they were “protecting the project”.

V

This is only reporters trying to sell papers. Teams can bid all they want, but until Galliani or Berlusconi come out and say that SeS is for sale I’m not worried.

Cobben

Yeah, I will get very worried if either Galliani or Berlusconi say anything about this deal… Remember last summer ”We will build the team around Silva and Ibrahimovic.” Sure, if they were building PSG.

I really have a feeling that B&G won’t have the prestige and respect for the club to not sell the future of our club when a decent sum like this pops up.

40mil won’t even get us anything even close to the value of SES.

Hoping that SES stays put, otherwise it’s farewell to ”the Project.”

ed

I don’t tink it will happen cos berlu , gali n alegri metin was also about why alegri was benching SES n also KPB agent is waiting for gali for de new deal or selling him. Also wish de jong well .LETS ALL WAIT GALIANI ,he wil never do dat mistake again for dis new young milan. FORZA MILAN

V

No point accepting as he has 5 years left in his contract and likes it here.

We could easily get as much or more from him in 2-3 years time if we are that desperate for money.

If money is needed then sell likes of Boateng, Robinho and Mexes who all are one of our biggest earners at club. Selling them would get us easily 25-30m and free over 10m per year in wages.

forzamilan

el shaarawy said that he want to stay in milan for life (sory for the english)

Enwongo Milani

Ah swear!!….if SES is sold i’ll denouce being a MILANISTA!!
Ah min what am sayin….

FORZA EL-SHAARAWY!!
FORZA MILAN!!!

Milan wil do big mistake if they sell SES92….forza. Milan

Micke

Hell no!

JDoe

SES has AC Milan in his gene. Simple no and thank you.

kaka

If el leaved i am officially a man city fan.
How can dey demand trophies when de are ready 2 cash in on their best player.i think B and G will cash in on him because dey like money 2 much

Tochi

Loooool. Remember pato? Sell this kid before he flops.
Lets get better players.
Forza Milan.

kelvin

Being that this is Milan, one can never have a stress-free transfer period.. The Thiago Silva incident is a good example why. Just when you have been reassured repeatedly by the management, they stab you in the back. Everybody start praying!

Jhayboss

I think sellin SES is a no no, but if MCFC wants him they have to do better than 40mil. They paid 40mil for a 28year old Fernandinho, I believe SES should be more than that..

Milanista121

I don’t think he will leave though, as the fans would never forgive them for selling El Shaa. I mean, selling Ibra and Thiago was “necessary” to balance the books, at least according to Galliani and Berlu, but the books have been balanced, so there’s no need to sell El Shaa, if we still want to remain competitive, right? They can impossibly come up with another reason/lie to sell him, so I doubt he’ll be sold. Boa and Robi, however, can leave, but I would rather get out with the quanitity first, and then the quality, since Boa and Robi… Read more »

milan is about to die, pray it doesnt happen..when u need SES pay €200million..

Milan4Ever

With Milan switching to 4-3-1-2, this is more or less how our Mercato should look like:-

Amelia–>Marchetti(not a priority)
Antoni+Vila–>Amu(already bought)
Yepes–> Ogbonna(seems heading to Juve) or Astori(Allegri likes him)
Zaccardo–>Santon(more likely if Abate is sold)
Boateng–>Honda(Final 6 months of his contract and great for marketing)
Nocerino–> Nainggolan or Kucka(fighter in midfield)
Flamini+Traore–>Poli(already done according to reports)
Ambrosini–>Diamanti or Lodi(experienced Italian set piece specialist)
Bojan–>Petagna and Saponara
Robinho–> Zaza

Ted

Astori, Regini insted of Santon more likely now that Empoli failed to qualify for A, Nainggolan, Poli, Honda, Obiang, Saponara and another SS/AM.

Yepes, Salamon, Zaccardo, Antonini, Vila, Nocerino, Muntari (rather than Flamini), Traore, Bojan, Robinho out

partigiano_milan

i think honda would really be a good buy! not only because of his expiring contract and for marketing reasons…he`s a strong character and will raise the technical quality we lack in midfield!

sola

I see B&G selling this kid for a slightly better offer, galliani is gud business man, I see him buying ljalic from fiorentina from the money he gets from the el-sharaway sale, we all knw we lost in the “kaka deal” man.city offered a better bid in january than madrid did in the summer. Whichever way, still forza milano

ladon

Milan are a selling club. period. Trust me that money will be used to balance the books and more mediocres will be brought in. That man Galiani!!!!j

Benny

Selling Stephan will be the most dangerous and deadly mistake Milan will make. Even for a billion, SES should never be sold

Milan#boy

This is the kind of offers we need at milan from the european money houses. If i were B&G, i would accept this offer cuz we have muntari, traoe and nocerino if the offer was for any of them. But believe me the offer is for the wrong player they can’t be serious

Pato9

There are reports that say that el sharaawy doesn’t want to go to manchester city , i think that they won’t sell him since the books are balanced , and he is also the favourite player of berlusconi. Robinho will probably leave , boateng’s future is not sure yet , and we will probably buy diamanti , so even if boa leaves , we will have diamanti and saponara in this role , so we are ok.(of course it will be better if he stayed too , and have three attacking mid)

Juninho

Milan will sell him and will not invest a dime of money in the team.

Ted

Yes they will… They’ll get the all mighty Diamanti, Belfodil and Kucka. And then well conquer Europe again with them… Simple

yourBoss

40 milion is huge and can get u 2-3 very good players.
I just doubt B&G will consider spending the money inturn, else I’d sale the boy and buy some quality.

remember SES was very poor in the second half of the last season.

#milanforever

This will never happen, only rumors.

but it could be interesting with an exchange with nasri + 10-15 mill.

a midfield with monti- de jong – nasri would be nice.

natti

books are balanced .. milan cannot continue to sell players they make into superstars after being almost average good players as they will never move foward..like what happened with kaka and shevchenko .. and also thiago silva .. i dont want milan to be like borrusia dortmund .. they make fantastic players then sell them .. 60 million with tevez and nasri would be ok but it is impossible and the same with el sha leaving milan .. FORZA FARAONE

Forza1899Milan

I think SES will be sold, unfortunately. Berlusconi doesn’t care about Milan anymore. Therefore, he has no reason not to sell him and 40 million reasons to sell him.

tunex

sell sharawe 40m boateng 15m robinho 5-10m release traore ambrosini muntari yepes sell zarcado antonini den get augbemeyang poli diamati ljalic astori promote crisanti and acmilan will be champion of italy again and c wat happens in cl forza milan

fyah-mayne

All those players can be acquired without the sale of el shaarawy, but management seems to have something else on the agenda so let me just sit back and watch

AC Milan

well selling SES will be mistake but this is football and every one has its price….40m is too less for SES but if city bid 60m then milan will sell……..if i was a judge of the transfer court i would block this move but i am not and only i can see and watch what B/G will do and cry when team loose it really hurt when milan loose and to see these cheap players…….

Lieutenant Colonel Nana-Fynn

awww milan…hmmmmm

Kaka milan

Give us tevez and nasri + 30million pounds and elsharaawy is urs otherwise back off…..then milan should buy ljajic, alcantara, honda, astori, poli and diamanti….milan squad will be
ABBIATTI,GABRIEL,AMELIA
ABATE,DE SIGLO,CONSTANT,MEXES,ZAPATA,BONERA(dont like him though because of his renewal),de jong, poli, alcantara, nasri, honda, daimanti, montolivo, pazzini, ballotelli, tevez, niang, muntari, saponara, cristante, verghara….
OUT…prince,robinho,bojan,elsharaawy,ambrosini,villa,antonini,zaccardo,saloman,flamini,nocerino,yepes…

Juninho

Milan will make a move for Cyrril Thereau from Chievo.
with Boateng’s transfer money.

R kenny

Hmmm again 4za milan.

caleb

Has it gotten to this extent? Here we go again….

Some Guy

Please, please, please Galliani DON’T DO IT!!! We beg you. For the fans. For Milan. For everyone. Just for 40 million measly euros. We won’t do anything with that money anyways. Just don’t do it, please!!!

BhargavL

I will never watch ac milan again if the sell SES. We just got balotelli and we are developing a very good young team and I’m tired of these transfers. Trust me if milan loses SES, there will be no more milan fans

O' Browne

It is normal for a club like M.City to make such huge offer for a 20years old attacker after making a huge impact in his second season.. I believe this has proved “El Sha” improvement and he needs to keep it up because the shy is his limit..
Your brilliant performance will definitely attract big clubs and your poor performance will attract lower or even relegated clubs..

EL92

If they sell him im going to stop watching milan every game
