MILAN WILL have to fight for the third place in the final matchday after drawing Roma at Stadio San Siro on Sunday evening. The first half was very dynamic with both sides getting decent chances to score, but both goalkeepers – especially Christian Abbiati – looked good and kept the game even. There were, however, some ugly episodes in the first half as Mario Balotelli had to ‘shhh’ the Roma crowd that chanted racist abuses towards him. In the 41′ minute, Balotelli was booked for a foul but Sulley Muntari was not too happy with the decision, holding the referee’s arm and trying to talk to him and preventing him for booking Balo. Gianluca Rocchi wasn’t pleased and sent Muntari off with a direct red to keep Milan in 10 man. The second half was the weaker of the two. The game was stopped three minutes into the second half because of the racist chants coming from the Roma fans. The game resumed quickly but there were not many chances in the second half, although Milan looked better despite being with a man down, and both sides tried to score mainly with shots from distance. The ref added six minutes of stoppage time and in the 92′ minute, Francesco Totti picked up a red card of his own after elbowing Philippe Mexes in Roma’s half. This red card magically erased a minute and Rocchi whistled after five minutes instead. Milan have to beat Siena for the Champions League.

Unlike young strikers, young defenders can’t be given too much time on the field because one mistake they make can ruin their confidence drastically. Allegri is taking caution playing De Sciglio but he should have played Abate today.
I think the Siena will definitley decide Allegri’s fate. I don’t hate Allegri by any means but where I come from (the U.S.) this happens all the time with Nfl, Nba, etc teams. Its win and your in and he keeps his job or lose and he’s fired.
well i was complaining after the unconvincing win over torino and taday i’m ok with a draw. it tells that i could take droping some points but you’ve to show there’s a style in your play. which has been my main issue with allegri and i’m not sure he can solve that problem. i liked the teams spirit tonight but it takes more than a game to judge a coach

Nobody hear enjoys Allegri’s tactical display. With the way many people were talking, I thought we were gonna win against Roma so that in our last match, we will be able to play with our unused players. Bashing Allegri all the time will change nothing. In as much as I’m not a big fan of his, kudos to him for stabilizing the team after the disastrous start to the season…I remember when we were 18th while Inter were in 4th position.
But let’s not forget something…@ the start of the season our coach said “I’m satisfied with the squad @ my disposal”. This is a squad that had just one creative midfielder.
